I honestly think this teaser is better than TDKR. TDKR just gave us a bunch of mash up clips of the first 2 movies and audio form rhas al ghul from the first, then a mash up of Gordan on a hospital bed mixed with a shot of the city crumbling forming a Bat-signal in the sky which prob wont even actually happen in the film, a 2 second shot of bane's face and a 3 second clip of Bats backing away from bane.

hardly ANYTHING in that trailer gave us insight to the films story other than what people already knew or suspected.

the trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man however gave us all sorts of awesome clips that told us what the story is basically about:

peter parker's parents mysteriously died for some unknown reasons. Pete finds some of his father's work, and he tries to investigate but gets bit by a radioactive or genetically altered spider in the process. becomes Spider-Man, we also see some devious stuff might be going on at oscorp, we see gwen and the fact that she works there. we see how Pete feels like a ordinary or less than ordinary person and feels nothing is special about him.

list goes on and on.

i may be excited for both films next summer and i may be skeptical about this film but so far just judging by the trailers alone, The Amazing Spider-Man teaser has def peaked my intrest waaaay more than TDKR.

also I'm calling it now: when the HD trailer is released i want an avvy of the first person POV sequence of Spidey running, crawling and swinging around.

Reall dissapointed they are going with another origin story.

It's one thing to reboot and just have him be a established spider-man, but instead we have to see another origin comic book character, and even worst one of a character who's origin is still very fresh in peoples minds.

Not to mention, i thought people wanted to a more wisecracking funny spider-man, didn't really seem that way in the teaser, granted it's only a teaser but still.

IDK this movie has disaster written all over it, and it might be derserving considering they decided to reboot a franchise only 5 years after the last one and that one made over 300 million dollars at box office.

I'm happy they're rebooting the franchise and starting a new origin. This time involving Peters parents. Good stuff I say.

This trailer is setting a tone. Showing how different it is to the Raimi films, how it's more serious. It's REALLY done that. SO having wisecracks in this teaser, IMO, is not the best way to go. Save it for the theatrical, if he will be wisecracking that is.

Spidey one made about 800 million world wide box office. Great numbers. Now, will TAS be as successful as the others? I think it will. It's spiderman, that alone will get the crowd. I think we have a winner here IMO.

I know he was just placed on probation, but I want to make a statement to everyone:

You can say things like trailer A was better than trailer B. That is all fine and good, and I encourage discussion. But, there is a respectful way to do so. Coming into a forum and saying "A sucks, B rocks, LOLZ!!!" Is not constructive. It just causes fights. Thus, don't do it.

Come on, we want movies, not theme park rides, not video games... First "3D", now that... they're killing what cinema is all about. What I've seen in this scene is not cinema...

And don't get me wrong, you can make action movie and still be good (look at the 80's), I don't say that cinema is about story, strong characters and stuff... But cinema is supposed to be art, not Michael Bay ********.

It makes no difference to me how you feel about the POV shot, but I'm curious to understand how you feel it's killing cinema, as I personally can't grasp your logic here. Cinema is an art form, and like all art forms, the possibilities are endless and no artist should be limited by rules and preconceived notions. And the POV shot is nothing new; EVERY movie has POV shots. They're just far more subtle. Silence of the Lambs is a good example - there are several POV shots in that movie.

Anyway, even if I think what I think of this, I still don't believe 1st person scene will be in the movie... I hope not... They can't have such bad taste.

I'd actually be surprised if it were in the movie...it kinda felt like a "just for the teaser" scene. But, I could be wrong. If it's in the movie, I won't mind (I think it'd be great in 3D), but I doubt it'd be there more than once.

i wouldn't mind if it was done more than once as long as the actual time spent in first person view is brief similar to how it's been used in Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions

I think the first person looked good. But like many have said before me, my only problem with it would be if they use it too much. It's nifty to see once (maybe the first time he's out experimenting with his powers, or hell, maybe as a "victory lap" at the end of the movie) but too much of it and I would probably just get motion sickness.

I think maybe the little guy had too much candy today. I think what he meant to say was: 'IMO I think that both trailers have merit but I would like to state that I, newbie, happen to prefer Batman's. It's simply splendid.'

They rushed this movie so they can keep the rights and Marvel not having any balls just let them do this!!! I hope this movie fails so badly at the box office and Marvel can get the rights back and take it to Disney..

Hahaha, awesome. Completely disagree with you. However, I would love your crystal ball so I too could watch the movie and see how they're destroyed spiderman.
