I agree.
I don't get some of these people who are dissappointed, though. No matter how great the acting, music, cgi, 3d, or whatever is, people are just refusing to accept the film and give it its due coarse because its a reboot. So in the end, it really has nothing to do with the fact that this could be much BETTER than the first Spider-Man film. It's a reboot, therefore it "sucks".
I don't like that mentality. I get very heated when I talk to ppl who think like that. Only because I can name 50 other "unoriginal" films/adaptations/reboots/remakes that they LOVE based on all the things they're purposely ignoring for this film.
BTW, I think Avengers will be good, but I'm personally sick of it. I'm sick of the way all the Marvel movies look. Feel. Sound. How they're directed. Acted. Everything. They have the characterizations and emotional complexities of a spoon. Not all, but most. I know I'm going to get flamed for this post, but I feel these Marvel movies are all smoke and mirrors with a bunch of talking mannequins. You can predict everything. All the beats, all the cues, all the twists. Then you get something like The Amazing Spider-Man and everyone's worried and ****ting bricks because "That's not how you're supposed to make it".
Well guess what? They already made the dumbed down kiddie version for grown ups. I want something new. Throw me a bone, and leave some meat on it, too.
