this is probably true. however if it just had a couple more weeks or so then it would be a better looking situation.

Its is a **** LOAD of time.

2 weeks I believe is like 80% (or something close) of the revenue. Most movies make most of their money in that time. So 3 weeks is a buttload of a gap.

I've seen various stuff with ASM and I haven't been completely happy with any of it.

first picture of spidey released I 100% loved (the shot of the torso/head and sans mask). perfect

then the onset pictures were leaked and the colours of the suit were all wrong but they weren't official so I pretty much ignore them figuring the colours would be edited in post.

then the trailer got released and I adore the first section but hate the POV (I'm sorry but it's the truth)

then official picture of spidey outfit gets released and I love all of it except the pee coloured yellow eyes (I mean seriously, WTF?!)

and last the official teaser poster which I loved except th stupid stupid tag line, 'the untold story' that is just , that poster would have been so much more powerful with no tagline and just the released date down the bottom.

so I am a raimi fan but the bits I don't like about ASM have nothing to do with raimi and are instead either bad cgi, bad artist choices or bad marketing.
I would say I am about 90% happy with what I've seen.

Obviously though, you don't hate it. Some Raimi fans are just relentless and will trash anything having to do with ASM, in the dumbest ways possible because they hate the fact that Raimi's series is dead (I don't really know, I'm just guessing). But in the end, if the movie is good, would you say all of those complaints can be overlooked?

Honestly (half-joking though), for the next trailer, I would totally dig it if the guys at Sony just end screwing with the haters and make a complete joke out of the trailer. By that I mean, throwing in all the quips, adding those cheesy movie voice over guys, play some Nickelback and making the tone completely happy. Just to piss off the haters even more (you know, first they complained about it being too dark and then they'll complain about it being too happy and cheesy).

Well Sony just released the MIB3 teaser without any warning so maybe they'll release the ASM trailer just as sudden.

I'm hoping we get one before Christmas.
