sony have got to be careful. GL pretty much pissed away 300m because the first trailer was rubbish.

I know there are some people who were claiming they enjoyed the first trailer (green lantern) but the truth is the first trailer was DISASEROUS. you can't blame sony for being cautious.

Honestly, if releasing a trailer is too much money for them to handle, heaven forbid, should we be worrying about unfinished CGI in this film, as well? This is pathetic at this point. TDKR is being promoted as if it's coming out next month. I want the same confident outlook and hype for Spider-Man. This film needs it more than Bats at this point anyway.

Trust me, we don't have to worry about unfinished CGI. Sony is pouring everything they can into TASM because they need it to make big in order to stay a float and avoid a disney buyout.

Sony has even go as far as to make MIB3 and Underworld have rewrites because they wanted to have as much money as possible going towards TASM.

Don't worry guys. The delay has been because they want the effects in the trailer to
be mindblowing and not have it have the same thing happen to it that happed to Green Lantern with its first trailer which was so bad because virtually NONE of the CGI was done but Warners was in such a rush to get it out (trying to beat out Marvel to the trailer release punch) that the trailer sucked and was seriously lacking, only being able to have the worst parts of the movie in the trailer because the good parts (yes there were some good parts) had heavy cgi which is why their mindblowing trailer came in march, but at that time, it was already too late

Sony is making sure the CGI in trailer, as well as the movie, is as its best when first seen. I don't blame Sony for waiting. Its smart.

I just know I'm really hoping for one within the next ten days. I mean, whether or not we get it is, as we all know by now, is up in the air as always. But I really really really wish it to come out- like- REAL soon, not upcoming six months "soon"

it isn't lack of desire for great effects on sony's part it's who they are using and they are using imageworks the same effects house who did the green lantern effects.

to be fair to imageworks when they bring their 'A' game they deliever effects like the train sequence which still looks brilliant

I'm not worried about the effects at all. People said the effects in the SDCC footage (which were unfinished) looked great... so can you imagine the final product?

I'd take a trailer without any CGI in it right now. Marc Webb's film is beautiful enough as is.

t: Thats why Webb was the best choice ever for this film. We get the best of awesome CGI, and effects and action, while also getting real emotion, story, and drama.

I agree, Neil. Super Bowl? Maybe. Maybe they haven't got the spare cash for Super Bowl. But a trailer? It's not going to be money that's delaying a trailer. They'll have a marketing budget that covers trailers and regular TV spots. I'm certain they're just making sure that the money they are spending on advertising this beast is being used to its upmost potential. SuperHeroHype! posted on these boards in December (when we were all sure a trailer was imminent) that no trailer was due until January. From my time here, I'm aware SHH has contacts and generally knows what he's talking about. As of this time, I am not worried at all.

I understand some of you are feeling dubious about the lack of news lately and that other upcoming franchises are making themselves known, but really, let's take a step back and stop second guessing. We will get a trailer. No what-ifs or buts. We will get more than one for this blockbuster Sony has spent hundreds of millions on already. I know it's easy to get carried away when they break a routine we're used to, but I'm sure we'll get it soon and hopefully we'll be blown away by the product and the work Sony has put into said product.

But the site update, with tons of new info and new pictures, the cock-teasing questions on their Facebook page, all of which lead to...
