She has been described as the love interest every time a new cast member has been added. She was rumored to be up for the role of the "love interest" before we even knew she was up for Foster. Kevin Feige basically came out and said that Foster was the love interest. She is obviously the main love interest of the film

Yes, and there's no reason to believe that this will be a case of that. We didn't hear anything about Heimdall being included until Elba was cast, and that was only about a week ago. (Not to mention, Heimdall's role in the first draft was much smaller and he is a more minor character who could have been excluded much easier than Balder).

OK. This doesn't seem to be going anywhere (No offense ), so, let's wait and see, how about that?

I hope there's some kind of love triangle and it's not quite as simple as Thor simply leaving Sif for Jane. I wouldn't really be upset if that's what happened, but Sif has always been my preference for Thor's main squeeze.

Adding Balder would make the cast about the same size as many works of Shakespeare, and that's something KB has proved he can handle in spades.
