Im sure it's a spare batsuit made for this film.

Considering they usually make quite a few batsuits for each film, I would also assume it's one of the many spare panther suits they made.

If I remember correctly they had 6 complete suits displayed in the batcave on bodycasts as well as 4+ cowls. A few of the suit displays were reused in the batcave of Batman & Robin, one of which Alfred can be seen leaning on.

I think they made 40+ of each suit: Panther, Sonar and Robin.

We never actually got a plain black sculpt of the panther suit as a figure with the yellow oval logo, I remember being a kid and thinking their would be one and searching everwhere for it because I always hated all the variant colors and always would only play with the plain black "normal" suit version figure, we only got a sonar suit figure both of which I had.

I totally still have that big Sonar Batman on display on my shelf...

i still have that batman and the robin that came with it on my shelf :D

He's similar to Keaton in some ways - the awkward door knock down moment with Chase for example evokes Keaton's first meeting with Vicki. But he's very different as well. He seemed more deeply depressed than anything. Though he appeared at public functions (the cirucs, the Nygma function) and paid a visit to Wayne Enterprises.

IF Burton and Keaton continued after Returns I think Bruce/Batman would be similar to Kilmer's too

If they took out the Two-Face in this movie, it would have went from "fun watch" to above average overall for me.

I liked Carrey and Kilmer, and the Robin storyline wasn't half bad.

The sonar suit figure just goes to show that regular old action figures for kids don't have to look like cheap junk like Mattel seems to think. They only seem to put effort into adult collector stuff now.

I don't understand why Kenner/Hasbro always skipped on giving the ultimate Batman figures leg articulation. What's the point in making the arms movable and nothing else?

I'm watching it now. I kinda compare it to Spider-man 3. It has alot of flaws to it and gets a bit goofy at times, but overall it's a fun and entertaining film. Not a bad film by any means, but not exactly how I pictured a Batman movie.
But the one thing that's always bothered me alot is Two-Face. He's way too goofy and over the top in this movie. That should've been left to Carrey's Riddler(and even he acted a bit too silly at times). I think Harvey's Two face should've been the straight man to Carrey's joking Riddler.

Opening sequence is the best it's what Two-Face should been, he acts so serious "Are you a gambling man?" until he meets Carey's Riddler and the penny drops..... he's just goofy and poor man's Joker.

The Spider Man 3 comparison is dead on! I like both movies honestly, flaws and all

It looks like one of my old hotwheel cars. lol

Finally I feel Schumacher just said, "Okee, this Giger thing doesn't look like the Batmobile, so just take the previous one and giger-ize it!"
