As far as I know this is the Official Batman Returns Thread. Meaning this is a place to discuss Batman Returns.

Which is what I was doing in my post.

It's not an argument, and it's not spam. It's an attempt at intelligent discussion. Why do you people insist on only talking to people who agree with you? I personally enjoy discussing differing viewpoints, and I have yet to have an in-depth discussion with anybody here at the Hype! regarding Batman Returns. I was hoping I would find it in this thread but I guess not.

By the way, if you feel that I am spamming, then why don't you report me to the mods?

We're referring to JLBat's constant reminding of BatmanRules33's warning. What JL forgets is he too was warned and reminding BR33 isn't going to help.

alright...back to BR! ha...its ok to discuss anything about BR in this thread...your likes and dislikes about this film, so if someone does not like BR and post about it there is know need to call it spamming, this is a thread to discuss everything about this movie not just how great it is, thats why i posted a page back all the mistakes BR had, because this thread is about the entire movie

Right on. There's a lot of cool stuff about the movie - as with any Burton movie, the production design is gorgeous. The costumes were great (Pfieffer's Catwoman, as I say, is "teh secks") and Keaton's Batman suit is much improved. I prefer to natural muscle look of the suit in BATMAN '89 but the armor-plated look is more honest, in a sense - since that's what the suit is meant to be in those movies: armor. I think the cowl in Returns is much better than the cowl in '89.

Even the Penguin - while I don't like what they did the character, he does look cool. I'm also glad they kept the same Batmobile design from '89. I like continuity!

But on that subject, what I think is weird is how Wayne Manor looks totally different in Returns than it did in '89. I heard that the reason was that Burton didn't view "Returns" as a sequel to BATMAN, but as a new Batman movie that was entirely unrelated to BATMAN '89.

Which is an interesting concept. But if that's what he was doing... why did Bruce mention Vicki Vale when he was talking to Alfred?!?!

"Batman Intimidation" was one of the working titles for Batman Begins. And notice the tagline "Let the legend begin" underneath it? This looks like a fan-made teaser poster for BB before the official title was announced.

Look at the word "Intimidation" and "Let the legend begin" and notice that the letters are much sharper and clearer there than the rest... meaning this probably began its life as a photo of a BR teaster poster scanned into the computer, and the other words were dropped in using a graphics editing program.

Nice pics of Michelle/Selena up there. My favorites are the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th pictures. Blondes are not my preference but she is Capital H "Sexy."

I love her Catwoman voice, too... that throaty purr. Yum.

No two ways about it, she (and her natural chemistry with Mike Keaton) was the best thing about BR.
