The Official Bizzaro #1 Thread

Yeah, we might see the sun draining his powers very slowly.

In the comics at least the yellow sun doesn't have that effect, because he still possesses the same powers as Clark, so I guess not everything is completely opposite, which I suppose doesn't really make sense, but with superheroes, I've learned to just go with it and not ask too many questions, lol

I think that's the best train of thought to follow and I am likewise. I usually just go with things, it makes viewing so much more pleasurable. If I wanted realism I'd watch Reality TV and I hate Reality TV.

^ ditto...

before we ask why the sun isnt draining his powers we might ask why his face looks like that... or better yet... LETS NOT ASK! It's smallville after all.

I really dout the sun has anything to do with him. Because Bizzaro is basically phantom and has taken Kryptonian form. And the sun is good for kryptonians. I really dont get what happened to his face in the end. Since hes a mirror image of clark its like his face cracked in the end lol.

But really.. how far can they take the whole "opposite" thing without being impractical? Perhaps they yellow sun exposure will take a slow but sure toll on Bizarro and that's what will ultimately incapacitate him. I don't think it can be too immediate though, or he would have flown out of the dam and fallen right into the river. :)

They don't have to do too much with it. I'd kinda like to see them tone it down a bit, to be honest. When you look in a mirror it reverses your perspective, but not everything changes.

Bizarro can still fly, and still has super strength, and speed by all appearances. If they write little issues where he's opposite, like the effects of red K on him, or maybe even have him swooning over Lois...

The little things, are what's gonna make this an effective character. The glaring flaws are just momentary amusement. I'd really like to see some depth to a Bizarro character instead of just a buffoon for once.

It feels like they're just shoe-horning Bizarro in where he doesn't belong. They're doing the same "Clark split into good and bad versions" thing they've done before, only this time his skin is all metallic and cracked and he says he's bizarre.

there's no explanation for the look, and it doens't even look like Bizarro. Bizarro's supposed to look like an imperfect clone. A Superman who's degenerated and deformed. I cant even imagine how they'd explain this guy looking the way he does.

Not to mention if they got the look right, they could probably keep him on the show without the others recognizing him.

He looks like he does in the current Richard Donner arc in Action Comics, cracked face and all, except they didn't take the distorted features as far, but he has a white, cracked face.

yeah, my biggest gripe with bizzaro was that he just magically changed into 'bizzaro' all of a sudden, he was obviously acting like him, and he could have gradually deformed over time, but now he just randomly shape shifted, i hope we get an explanation to this, but i doubt it:huh:

You make some really good points.

That part I bolded can sometimes be applied to the show in general - or any other comic/fantasy-based story.

Zod shows up on earth for 5 minutes and can fly.

Bizarro (an imperfect replica of Clark) can fly.

But the original can't???
clark can and knows how to fly. he just doesnt want to because he is afraid of heights and doesnt really think of trying it as he did with his other powers. i think he even forgets sometimes that he can.

I've heard a bunch of people griping about having another 'good and evil clark split'. I think people are jumping to conclusions. Bizarro had like a total of 3 minutes of screen time. We don't know what drives him or how he acts yet. Just because he fought Clark, doesn't mean we're going to see Kal El, or red K Kal, here. He's had no character development yet.

agreed.. its a bit early to judge.

i hear bizarro and solomon grundy are going to fight in the season 7 premiere.

"Solomon Grundy wants pants!"
"Bizarro number 1 wants pants too"

It sure is going to suck when Bizarro gets Zod treatment.
Hell, Zod at least got built-up, but this came as a shocker.
I expect Bizarro to be dead by...

...the end of the season premiere. :down

i agree. its just a tv show. its not real!! its make believe. its there to entertain us not for us to waste time complaining about why this isnt this or that isnt that. only loosers without girlfriends and no lives complain about every little detail about superhero related and regular tv shows and movies. its really getting annoying.

I just don't know why Bizarro Clark would need to be around any longer than the season premiere, the point of the phantom was to give Lex his juice for the army, and a nice fight scene where Clark pays a big ass price for releasing the phantoms and not doing more about Lex, so I'm fine with it ending by the opener, he doesn't have much purpose. And besides its not really Bizarro, just like an homage to the character.

i vote you stay away from IMDB:oldrazz: :woot:

did you find the part where hes one of DCs lesser known of their most well known (did that make any sense?!?!?!) villians. his origin varies considerably depending on what era we're in and whose writing, but essentially hes a superstrong swamp zombie, and a classic DC villian.

ive wanted to see him on SV for years.
