It's the next logical step .

Season 1 , season 7 - GREEN KRYPTONITE

Season 2,3,4, & 6 - RED KRYPTONITE

Season 4 -BLACK KRYPTONITE

Season 5 - SILVER KRYPTONITE

Season 7 - BLUE KRYPTONITE

it's just dumb

about as dumb as using cgi to make welling look like bizzaro

Solomon Grundy's a Green Lantern villain. So unless we see a Green Lantern...

From Wikipedia:
...

He is briefly a member of the Injustice Society of the World. In the interim, he has battled the combined might of both the Justice Society, and later their counterparts the Justice League, nearly to a standstill, when he develops an affection for a lost alien child. Soon after, Grundy crosses over from his Slaughter Swamp prison on Earth-2 to Earth-1 where he encounters that Earth's Superman (see more details below).

...

The Earth-One Grundy arises when the Parasite uses an enhanced crystal to metabolically hasten the growth of residual cells left over in the sewers from when the original version had crossed over from Earth-2, which becomes a new, much more bestial version. During a clash with Superman, it is determined that his might is too much of a match for the Man of Steel, so Superman flies the monster to an alien world inhospitable to all save the hardiest life forms. There, under the planet's reduced gravity, the Earth-1 Grundy is appeased when Superman gives him a cape to wear as the zombie propells himself through the air mimicking his one-time adversary.
This version repeatedly plagues Superman for years until, during an encounter wherein multiple Grundys are spawned, Superman and the Swamp Thing both encounter the clones. Soon, Superman obtains a compound from S.T.A.R. Labs which causes the Grundys to become inert, in effect killing the seemingly unkillable man-thing. Swamp Thing attempts to cry out for Superman to stop, as he believes Grundy to meet the definition of life, but Swamp Thing is unable to express this, due to physical difficulty in speaking. Meanwhile, the original and second templates still exist. This version of Grundy was retroactively erased from history after the revamping of Superman in Crisis on Infinite Earths.
...
Prior to Infinite Crisis, Grundy is manipulated by Gorilla Grodd via mind control into attacking Batman and Superman for President Luthor for the bounty of one billion dollars in Superman/Batman. Batman is able to stop Grundy

I don't know if some of you just don't use your brains or just like to hype yourselves up but, why the hell would Bizarro have a custom on? That wouldn't make sense at all even for a show like Smallville.

Second of all it would be nice to have him stay for at LEAST 2 episodes but we all know he'll be gone and dusted by the end of the premier because like someone before me said, he has no purpose really in being around for long.

All i really want in season 7 is no Lana, more Clark becoming a hero inc. flying and more Evil Lex. As for villains, I don't know what they can come up with this time? I was impressed with their Phantom zoners in this season for a change of FOTW stuff but now it's back to Kryptonite crap most likely.

Solomon Grundy's first appearance was IN a Green Lantern comic when freaking Alan Scott, the first Green Lantern, was still the main GL. You posted a freaking Wikipedia article on a character you obviously know nothing about thanks to Wikipedia. You posted a picture of Grundy when he fought the ENTIRE Justice League. No crap, villains often fight other heroes in comics. You FAILED to post all the other information pertaining that he is indeed a Green Lantern Villain. Just because you post one little section about a version of Grundy when he was fighting Superman in the Earth-1 universe doesn't validate your arguement in the fact that HE'S STILL A GREEN LANTERN VILLAIN. The article you posted even says Earth-1 Grundy came from Earth-2, which is what his original origin is, as he was A GREEN LANTERN VILLAIN. Not to mention the first thing the article says is:

"Solomon Grundy is a DC Comics character, a large, strong zombie supervillain. Named after the eponymous 19th century children's nursery rhyme, he is an enemy of Green Lantern (particularly Earth's first bearer of that title, Alan Scott). He first appeared in All-American Comics #61 (1944)."

Case Closed.

G'day.

well, maybe the next guest-star hero in season 7 will be green lantern ;)

He's not entirely opposite.

He's Clark...only a little more bizarre... ;)

So I guess by your logic Wolverine will always be a Hulk villain, eh? Who cares where they started, Solomon Grundy is currently considered primarily a Superman or Batman villain.

Do i even need to bother saying it?

What was the reason again that we'll never see young Bruce Wayne on the show?

Just like saying Punisher is Spider-Man's villain. Thing is both Wolvie and Punisher turned into anti-heroes that now run their own show. Grundy is still a villain, was AND still is a GL villain, whether a Superman or Batman foe. Besides, pretty much every villain can be considered a Batman/Superman villain nowadays seeing as how they're the flagship DC characters that everyone knows and reads concerning DC.

Fact of the matter is, I was right when I said he was a GL villain, and when Kaboom failed to acknowledge/show it.

Honestly, I thought it was great seeing Bizarro in the finale, but again, they need to keep raising the bar for Clark if they want him to effective.

did you find the part where hes one of DCs lesser known of their most well known (did that make any sense?!?!?!) villians. his origin varies considerably depending on what era we're in and whose writing, but essentially hes a superstrong swamp zombie, and a classic DC villian.

ive wanted to see him on SV for years.
He's been on. As a FOTW.

Alright, I'm pretty sure that any character from the DC universe is up for grabs, as long as there's no movie restrictions going on. After all, they're all from the same universe. I don't see why they would NEED to introduce GL at all, unless GL was somehow responsible for Grundy's creation. He's not, However.

In the same vein, did you know, that Cyborg isn't actually part of the JLA?
:whatever:

:cwink::oldrazz:

Weird. How does that affect anything? Them and their silly reasons :cmad:

Three possible reasons I can think of

Why would you pay to see a Batman movie when you see him for free on Smallville?

It could confuse people if they were to deviate from the Nolan story

Batman begins was boring they don't want Smallville to be boring.
