Three possible reasons I can think of

Why would you pay to see a Batman movie when you see him for free on Smallville?

It could confuse people if they were to deviate from the Nolan story

Batman begins was boring they don't want Smallville to be boring.

i hope that was a joke.

ummm... all

'Why would you pay to see a Batman movie when you see him for free on Smallville?'

most people don't watch smallville, and those that do will probably see any batman movie twice in theaters no matter what.

'It could confuse people if they were to deviate from the Nolan story'

again anyone that would be 'confused' is probably already dead because they choked on their own tongue.

'Batman begins was boring they don't want Smallville to be boring.'

are you trying to say that 'BB' isn't up to the quality level of 'Smallville'... the show that had a season long story arch about witch possession?

so... are ALL of those statements supposed to be jokes?

Batman Begins was boring? I think you saw a different movie than I did...

No, it wasn't solid action, but at least the story was a good one. Bruce Wayne was fleshed out better in that than ever before.

No, They want to keep Bruce Wayne off the TV because they're just being stupid....

In a way, their unwillingness to have Bats on Smallville implies that Warners is convinced we're all stupid. We, apparently, can't keep two seperate live-action incarnations of the same character apart in our minds.

Never mind about the differences between The Batman (still on TV) and Batman Begins.

I could go into two different takes on another character, but I'll resist the urge. :ninja:

Umm.... y'all know MJD was JOKING, right? :oldrazz:

MJD can correct me if I'm wrong. :ninja:

SV can't use Batman or Wonder Woman due to property rights licensed to the respective film franchises.

Can I just say WARNER BROS./DC. Comics are *******'s , and it's no wonder Marvel Comics (Sony, Fox, paramount etc ....) Are destroying them @ The Box Office with their line-up of SUPERHERO MOVIES. :cmad:

Warners baffles me when it comes to comic franchises. Their execs don't know squat about the characters (they're businessmen) but they want full control nonetheless, which alienates the directors so bad they ankle production. Even when they give the director carte blanche, they get bit in the ass. Nolan and Snyder not withstanding, they really seem to be having terrible luck recently.

I think they could let the character be on Smallville if they wanted to, they just don't want to for whatever reason.

I think it's time warner Bros. & DC start to get into the game now . We all know that {BATMAN & SUPERMAN} are the core of Dc comics as is Wonder Woman , But I really believe it's time high time DC start's to showcase the other Superheroes they have, in live action movies .

Marvel is running circles around DC when it comes to live action Superhero movies (The SPIDER-MAN movie trilogy franchise totally destroyed both of the Bats & Sups box offices records, not to mention the films have bosted spidey's popularity and the comic books issues are get sold faster & faster .) Marvel (2008 -Iron Man) (2009 - Hulk) (2010 - Thor or Namor) already announced after their planing an Avengers movie . after their done showcasing the origins of the main heroes of marvel .

Before DC does a JLA movie, I think they should do, (The Flash/Wally West) , (The Green Lantern / Hal Jordan) , (Wonder Woman/Diana Prince) , (Aquaman/Arthur Curt) etc ... Then a JLA movie .

Who? G&M or Warners? 'Cause G&M would cream their pants (sorry lol) to get either Bats or WW on the show.

Warners? Gosh, who knows what goes through their pee brains sometimes. I sure don't.

Al Gough said:
"Episode 11, which is our second episode back in January, is going to be called 'Justice,' and it'll basically be our first look at the Justice League. We're gonna have Green Arrow, Cyborg, Flash and Aquaman, played by Alan Ritchson, who is coming back. That's gonna be our first Justice League episode." And where exactly is Wonder Woman? "Ask Joel Silver," Gough grumbles. "He's the producer; he controls the movie rights. We'd do a whole Wonder Woman series if we had Wonder Woman, but Joss Whedon is writing the movie, so we can't have her."
I realize it's old news as Whedon is no longer on the project, but still.

You see this happen in most franchises though. The only thing that confuses me though, is why WOULDN'T warner want to showcase their other franchises in Smallville. It's one thing when you've gotta go cross company with legalities, but as far as I can tell, it would only accomplish supporting their movies.

I meant Warners....

Alright, I'm pretty sure that any character from the DC universe is up for grabs, as long as there's no movie restrictions going on. After all, they're all from the same universe. I don't see why they would NEED to introduce GL at all, unless GL was somehow responsible for Grundy's creation. He's not, However.

In the same vein, did you know, that Cyborg isn't actually part of the JLA?
:whatever:

No! It can not be! :wow:

-.-' Boomster.... Ryo.... Do you kids need a time out?
:cwink::oldrazz:

I think we do :csad:

honestly... i think its a legal issue, as others have stated.

the best would have been if that guy played by lost's Boone would have turned out to be bruce wayne way back in season 3??

... in stead of a dead guy.

My sister said if Bruce Wayne ever came on smallville she would want David Boreanaz to play him .

just kidding... kinda sounded like one of those 'i know a guy who knows a guy who...' things, but if you say your sister said it, i play along.

that last part was a joke, btw. :)

Ok...

for me I really don't care who guest stars as Bruce Wayne (as long as he can act & Can give the Justice in his preformance Bruce Wayne deserves .)

If it was my choice, I'd just get Bale to do it .
