GGG whips Ward, there I said it, could be that Ward has been inactive for so long or the beer I'm drinking but whatever that's what I'm thinking right now

Must be the beer, it would be a decent fight but 160 is perfect for GGG and I doubt either one gets 'whiped'

Triple G scares Ward but ultimately if Ward get's a few fights in and gets' back to his previous level I see one winner and it's Ward.

Triple G is a small middleweight anyway and in Ward he's going up against a fully fledged Super Middleweight. It's a different ball game the higher you go. The opponent's get tougher and they can take your shot's and it's harder to KO them with one punch.

I doubt Ward fears GGG at all. Matter of fact, Ward has been calling him out numerous times since GGG's people seem to call him out but don't want any. I know I said I thought it was a 50/50 fight last night but after watching Ward on youtube, I'm back to Ward winning this. Not easily but he will win it. And as far as GGG not fighting Super Middleweights, HE said he'd fight anyone 154-168(quite possibly 174)plus with him supposedly beating Kovalev in sparring matches, making him quit due to his power, not sure if the rules apply to him.

No I mean during the the potential fight between the two. There will be a few scary moment's for Ward but ultimately he'll come out on top.

You got a link to that Kovalev rumour man? Kovalev is one bad mofo.

Sure do!

I like GGG's technique. He's not wild. He fights under control. I like how he adjusted to Murray's holding him by changing his distance, pivoting his body, and stepping away before Murray could grab him.

Now I personally don't think GGG's defense is as good as the HBO guys say. I don't necessarily see him slipping punches or always using head movement. I could also see how constant movement could give him trouble. Murray moved around a little but mostly along the ropes where GGG could launch his attack. I could see a slick boxer turning GGG into a bit of a plodder. But I enjoy watching him fight.

I am a big GGG fan, but there is a reason Ward is calling him out. Ward can easily fight at 175, while GGG is an average sized MW. Ward's technique along with his size advantage would make him a heavy favorite. In fact, I could see Ward kicking GGG's ass. GGG's biggest weapon is his offense, and that gets negated by a boxer as smart, slick and big as Ward.

I know HBO likes to paint GGG as slick and just allowing others too punch him, but you don't allow guys to hit you the way Murray hit GGG on occasions last night.

That's what I was saying. HBO was bias as freak! And as far as GGG's defense, he has a underrated chin. He got hit by Murray a lot, even Stevenson as well but he keeps coming. He doesn't seem to flinch at all, which is why I said(momentarily)that he would give Ward some trouble. But then, like you said, I would love to see GGG fight a Lara or a guy that moves a lot because most of the guys he has fought are guys who stand in front of him. Has he ever fought a slick fighter? I don't think he has.

How many big hitters has GGG been hit by? It is all ok to say someone has a great chin if they never get hit by anyone who can hit. For what it is worth, I think GGG has a very good chin, but it hasn't exactly been tested. One of the reasons why I hope GGG/Canelo happens.

Now vs Canelo, I see GGG blasting him in an epic fight

If Paq was really this innocent humble guy, he should step in and advocate for this guy to get his job back. Dude didn't say anything wrong. Was it stupid to insult Pinoy's god in his country? Absolutely but to fire a guy under contract when asked his opinion is crazy.
Might be a blessing in disguise though. Not sure how I'd feel about playing for a team with the name Purefoods in it. :o

Get over yourself. :whatever:

Did Pac fire him? No
Was he playing for Pac's team? No
Did Pac go to the team's decision makers and tell them "Fire this guy, he insulted me"? No

So why the hell are you trying to paint Pac the bad guy? And why should he even be remotely concerned about some nobody that couldn't make it in the NBA and had to settle playing for some team called the Purefoods Hotshots, when he's got the biggest fight in boxing history to be concerned about?

But I do agree what he said wasn't insulting, it's not like he said:

“As soon as we come off vacation, we’re going to cook that little yellow chump … Once I kick the midget ass, I don’t want you all to jump on my d---. So you all better get on the bandwagon now ... Once I stomp the midget, I’ll make that mother f----- make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice … we’re going to cook him with some cats and dogs.”
Now I wonder who said that? :shr:

That's right it was that humble non woman beating Mayweather.

Lucas Matthysse vs Ruslan Provodnikov set for April 18th.

That is going to be an amazing fight but Ruslan is going to be in a walker by the time he turns 40. How dude doesn't have brain damage is beyond me. Plus if Lucas's eye hold up, I can see him having it that night. You have a knock out artist against a guy who quite possibly can't be knocked out. Unstoppable force vs Unmovable object. The next 3 months will be amazing for boxing. :atp:

If Garcia could have as much success as he did, Provodnikov might be a problem for him. Not to say Ruslan is anywhere near the overall boxer that Danny is, but just from a sheer power perspective, it could (and should) get interesting...

I don't know man. I think that eye was one of the main reasons Garcia beat Mattysee. Plus what Garcia misses in speed, he makes up for in boxing skills and has underrated power. Provodnikov(what's up with these guy's names?)isn't exactly known for being a savvy boxer. He's a brawler who's very entertaining to watch with an unbelievable chin. It's going to be interesting.

So this is arguably the biggest fight since the Thrilla in Manilla and

only one press conference in L.A., not open to the public
No cross country promotional tour
No 24/7, All Access
No Face Off with Max Kellerman
$100 PPV
Sky high ticket prices that the only ones that get to see this are the super rich who haven't seen a fight since the De La Hoya or Tyson days or are just there to get their pictures taken, not real fight fans.
No movie theater showings (there goes my plan to watch this and the Avengers together)

Thanks Haymon, Mayweather and Mayweather Promotions, way to include the fans in this. Can't wait to see how they continue to F-K fans over with their greed.

edit

Looks like apart from already having Alex Ariza and his Ariza shakes in his corner, Mayweather also hired Memo Heredia. Oh but Pac was on PEDs Mayweather claimed. lol I guess Mayweather wants to expertly hide his PEDs and not get that $5 million fine. and who better to do that than Memo Heredia.

Roid Pedweather is what he's going to be known for after this fight.

Yeah, you're probably right. I jumped the gun a bit now that I think about it some more.

I'd say it ranks up there with Hagler/Leonard, Tyson/Lewis, De la Hoya/Trinidad

Max Kellerman called it the biggest fight since Frazier-Ali I, and I think that's accurate. The Thrilla in Manila and Hagler-Leonard became watershed fights in retrospect, but much of the build-up to both contests dealt with how they were perceived as mismatches (Foreman had turned Frazier into a shell, and Leonard was a retiree) and thus less significant events.

Well first of all, this fight has been hyped for about 6 years now, there's really no reason to waste money trying to promote the one fight that literally needs zero promotion.

As far as the ticket prices, once again, it's just smart business. You act like there's not going to be tons of casual fans who haven't ordered a boxing PPV in decades who'll be getting the fight too, it's the same thing. So it's nothing against the hardcore fan, it's just not smart to have a ****load of celebrities willing to pay top dollar not allowed into the venue for the sake of fairness. They're obviously trying to break every record for the gate, PPV, etc., so it really has nothing to do with just Floyd or his team. Every person involved with this is trying to grab as much money as possible. And the one who needs it the most is probably your hero Paq-man.

Speaking of which, since you're now trying to reverse course from the last 4-5 years of the nonsense you've been spewing, you actually think Floyd would risk being caught with PEDs? Even worse, you actually think he needs them to whup Manny's ass? LOL...

You still don't acknowledge what should be obvious to everyone by now, that Manny was on something, and hasn't looked the same since it's been talked about publicly. Hell, even Freddie Roach basically admits to this now. But for years, you've defended him, said how heroic he was, how much better he was, how they'd never fight because Floyd was afraid, just complete ignorance to even the smallest possibility that Ariza might be up to something. But NOW? Oh now he's coming with the greatest concoction of all-time just for Floyd huh? Unreal.

I think people are going to be in for a shock when this fight happens and Floyd beats Manny as easily as most boxers and analysts are picking him to. I actually wouldn't be surprised if this fight turns out to be Manny/JMM4 where Manny was sleep for days and his mom started to take up voodoo.

I'm here in Philippines now and have to hear pinoys talk for 2 weeks about Manny winning, which ain't happening.

Oh yeah, I forgot you said your woman was from there, right? How did that come about, or were you living there too?

This is the Bush League of promotions and you know it. Who cares if this has been built up for 6 years, Haymon and TMT are greedy bastards.

Ofcourse now he's not going to risk getting caught like his TMT team has been caught in the past. That's why he got Heredia, the foremost expert in concealing PED usage. Fact, look it up.

Also funny how it's never been proven that Pac has been on anything aside from those Ariza shakes, yet team TMT has been busted for PEDs, Mayweather Sr uses steroids for his illness, Floyd's BFF 50 Cents has is a known steroid user and also rumors of Mayweather also being on them. Floyd is surrounded by steroids, yet they claim Pac was on them. Guess the best way to take heat off them is to loudly accuse somebody else.

Speaking of Ariza, we can also reverse it on him too, for the longest time Floyd, his camp and his fans accused him of being Pac's dealer for steroids and PEDs, but now that he's in camp TMT, he's clean? He's just a straight laced guy that's part of the team? And what's Memo Heredia doing in camp TMT? Answer that
