Lmao,
1. Dawson wasn't the lineal Lt HW champion
2. Ward made Dawson come down in weight, so even if Dawson was champ, which he wasn't that fight wasn't a Lt HW fight or for the lineal championship.
3. Defeating Edwin Rodriguez isn't cleaning out the division.
4. Froch did more to clean out the division than Ward did.
Try again.
Sorry Docker but I'm with Iron Stak here. Though Ward did beat Froch easily and it would happen again if they had a rematch.
Wait! So you think Froch did more in his division than Ward did? The difference is that Froch has the UK behind him which makes him a draw and Ward won't fight out of California for whatever reason. There's a reason why GGG, Froch, and Hopson want no part of Ward.
I think so yeah. Ward has been inactive and has fought twice since 2011. Okay he did have a shoulder injury that kept him out for a bit.
Froch has fought in the last 5 years the likes of:
Jean Pascal
Glen Johnson
Andre Dirrell
Arthur Abraham
Lucien Bute
Mikkel Kessler
and George Groves (twice)
That's a who's who of the 168lb division.
Oh no doubt I agree with your point a fit and healthy Andre Ward beats all of them quite convincingly as well. Groves isn't ready for him in my eyes. He still needs to fight more durable and legit top 10 contenders of the division.
My point is Froch after that defeat didn't stop and continued fighting the other guys of that division. Where as Ward sat on his a$$ and then made a weight drained Chad Dawson move down to a weight he aint comfortable with.
JCC Jr. is a weedhead and slacker but one thing he is not is a coward. He went against his own management's advice and wanted Sergio, and even though he got schooled, I think that fact screwed up Sergio's career. He does have some talent and I'd put money on a fight between him and GGG that he'd beat GGG because he can not box, only brawl and I believe JCC Jr's weight will play a huge part in that fight.
If JCC ever committed himself to the sport he'd be light years beyond whatever he is now. When he decides to throw it, he has a pretty good jab as it is, and his in-fighting is decent to begin with as well. If nothing else, he seems to have a damn good chin too. Not saying he'd win, but I think it would be a good step up in challenge, provided JCC took it serious...
What are you, a vampire? Do you only post at night now?
I agree that Froch has done more in the past 5 years but let's be honest, who on that list wants to fight Ward because they know it's a loss but really feel they can beat Froch. Other than Dirrell, I don't see anyone in the division that can challenge Ward and even him I'm not sure about. Groves wants no part of Ward and if he did, he'd get schooled. If Froch knocked him out, I can only imagine what Ward does. And I do acknowledge your boxing knowledge but that darn Iron Stark discredits any TRUE boxer in the sport. If he ain't a brawler, in his eyes they suck.
Who the hell is discrediting Ward's boxing abilities? When the hell did I ever say he's UN-talented, or that he can't beat any of those guys, including GGG. QUOTE ME or ****.
Again, apart from beating Froch 3+ YEARS ago, tell me why Ward deserves a big PPV fight? What has he done lately to deserve a big payday?
And I'll ask this again since you only choose to read and answer what you want:
Pretend you're Ward's promotor and I'm the casual audience and the Latino fanbase, tell me why I should buy Ward vs GGG over GGG vs Canelo/Cotto on big Latino holidays, or why I should buy Ward vs JCC Jr over Froch vs JCC Jr in Las Vegas.
1) The way you post, I thought you were a casual fan.
2) He's the #2 P4P fighter in the world. That should be enough to buy it when he fights the "monster" GGG. GGG vs Cotto won't be close IMO. Not sure about Canelo.
