Haye was simply scared to engage, he would throw one big punch a round then just try to stay out of Wlad's reach and survive. Not surprised that Haye had an excuse at the end though. Credit to him taking some of those big shots from Wlad.
Wait what? All Haye did was flop around, look at the ref for help, run all night and fight like a b****. It was pretty pathetic on his part, especially after all the s-talking he was doing.
He started to flop a lot after the 6th round but let's be real, Wladimir was pushing him a lot in the back of the head. Also, we agree he won the fight but I don't think it was as far a spread as the judges gave it. I've seen more punches thrown in pornos than in that entire fight.
Sorry guys but Haye didn't do anything! Im Polish so I root for Adamek in case anyone thinks I am biased but Klitschko easily took 10 or 11 rounds in my book. It was especially sad that Haye didnt even try to go for the KO when it was obvious that Wlad was in total control by the 9th. At that point a fighter with heart will go balls to the wall and not get back on their bike. Brits should be disgusted by Haye's showing. As for Klitschko, he was the aggressor most of the dight and I dont fault him for not knocking out Haye. It takes 2 people to make the fight and Wlad was the only one who showed up. Hope my boy can put a dent in the Klitschko era all though I admit it is unlikely.Sorry guys but Haye didn't do anything! I must've seen another fight?? Haye didn't do any of that. He ran, flopped, ran some more, was looking for the ref for help and finally make excuses about a boo boo on his toe.
But you're right Wlad didn't dominate because it is pretty hard for someone to dominate an opponent who's running for 11.5 rounds.
Like Merchant said, that was his big plan to just land one big punch? His biggest fight of his career up to that point and that was his plan?
I dont think Haye realized how quick Wlad was until Saturday night.
Lets not get silly, saying Haye was running for 11 rounds implys that Klitschko was chasing him.. which he wasn't. He more or less took the middle of the ring, which you'd expect given the fact hes much bigger & the fact that Haye is more of an outside fighter, were he held his ground against Haye who was circling him trying to find an opening.. which there wasn't very many considering Wlad doesn't take very many real risks in fights.
Wlad couldn't dominate him because he couldn't hit Haye due to his superior speed & movement, how many times in the fight did Haye drop his hands & stand stationary allowing Wlad to have a few swings at his head.. which he couldn't even hit properly when Haye was stationary.
Worked for Haye pretty much in every other fight in his career, he uses his superior speed, movement & feints to draw an opening so he can throw a 1 or a 1, 2.
Haye's plan seemed to be to counter punch Wlad, which is easier said than done because of how Wlad sets himself up.. that being said I think if anyone was gonna trouble Wlad it would be someone like Haye who has good fast head movement & quick powerful punches.
