I like Reeves for Brainiac.
I still have faith that Latino Review's scoop about Brianiac is authentic. They were the same site that revealed that Goyer was working on the script, only to get denied by Harry of aintitcool.com, then confirmed by Nolan a month later.(I like Harry but he looked stupid during that riffraff)

I suppose it could definitely be true reading that it could still fit in with what Birthright is.
It's hard to say but it's very, very possible. The only contradiction would be Goyer's admiration for Geoff Johns' 'Superman: Secret Origins'. He even wrote the introduction in the collected edition.
Again, there could be flashbacks to Clark's college years and his adventures in Africa.
What's consistent in these reports (from Latino Review to Vulture) is how the movie is setting up a big Krypotian mythology.
Which would include General Zod and maybe, dare I say it, Doomsday perhaps?![]()

Exactly. Something like that, where it ties into Brainiac's history with Krypton. Zod doesn't have to be a living, present character in the context of the story.
Yeah plus if they wanted to use him as a villain in a later movie they've already introduced him.
I really think they can wait on Doomsday. you already have Brainiac. And if Brainiac had support, it'll probably be like robotic probes or the like.
I would love a Kandor flashback scene with Zod like in Superman Brainiac
