Okay, it took some digging but this is kinda what I had in mind (but prolly wouldn't work on Supes with the trunks). I really like the low slung look, it makes the torso look longer:

The classic look is good, but having the belt lower on the hips would look better.

(I don't know why, but I love that iliac crest that defines that curve of the hips... that's the only reason why men look good in low slung, baggy pants as long as that part of the torso is exposed, that is...)

The Other guy's suit looked better. Wasn't it Gerard Christopher? IIRC HE Trunks were much better and the \S/ was much bigger and almost like the WB/DC \S/. Just the bottom of the \S/ was a little different.
