i thought reeve looked best in superman 1 and 3... especially with the interview with lois in 1 and superman in lanas house in 3, in 3 he was the most built out of the 4... only the scenes shot by donner in superman 2 was where reeve looked good... the ones shot by lester he didnt look good because his hair had grown then and the curl wasnt good... superman 4 reeve didnt have such a great look as you can see he had clearly aged and for some reason they decided to leave the curl in his hair out...

I did some wig work when I was doing costumes and it's hard to make a wig look good for a two hour musical, I can't imagine trying to do it for a 12 or 14 hour shoot...

Well, a good wig is expensive and I would imagine that they woulda had several dozen of 'em with a small army of wig and hair people to maintain them...

It's hard to manip a painting... I tried it a couple of times, it wasn't pretty.

It would probably be easier to do a whole new painting than manip an existing one, so considering: I thought it looked OK.

Anyway, I've seen worse.

Painted Routh's face onto the welling manip. Still could be considered a work in progress and the face looks just as much like Routh as the previous manip looked like Welling, but you get the idea. There's still something buzzingly wrong about it I know, too tired to make adjustments though. Till tomorrow.

After having posted some info on the suit, I'm going to spill some stuff about BJ.

He stands around 6'5" as Superman due to the boots.

He looks like a, and I quote, a "gorilla." He has HUGE biceps. He is, and I quote again, "ginormous."

His abs are similar to Pitt's abs in "Fight Club" in that when he flexes, the ab muscles pop out. Even without the muscle suit underneat the actual suit, you can see his ab muscles through the suit when he flexes.

His hair as Superman won't look like Reeve's. Instead of one shellacked curl forced into an S, he will have one or two strands or pieces just placed on his forehead. It will look...natural. His hair won't be as short as Reeve's. As they haven't done Clark Kent tests yet, I have no idea how his hair/attire will look.

He will wear blue contacts. The blue is pretty hard to explain. It's a blue that doesn't contrast with the blue of the suit. Kinda hard to explain. Either way, it will be blue. It won't be some completely alien blue.

Many many people are impressed and excited with how big BJ is right now. He looks intimidating, even moreso when he puffs out his chest.

Two months before Routh was officially cast, Singer knew he was the guy. Remember that convo they had at Coffee Bean in LA? That was pretty much the deal-maker. Singer showed the WB Routh's test as CK with a certain Lois candidate (not Bosworth) and told them how important it was to have Routh cast as Supes/CK. We know who the studio choices were...

You seem to know a lot about this, maybe you can help me out. I know Reeve, Christopher Reeve wore lifts that boosted him up, but I'm not sure what they boosted him to. Was Reeve naturally 6'3 and he went up to 6'4 or '5, or was he already 6'4?
