It really shouldn't have a high collar... remember, Superman wears his costume under his CK suit...

Yeah, it really shouldn't. However, in the new movie maybe Clark will wear high-collared polo shirts or something.......

Hmmm.

Hmmmm... not. Maybe Enigma is full of BS, just like all others 'insiders'...

I am hearing that it is his description that is off, not that he didn't actually see the new costume! :)

Hey everyone the other day I saw that pic of Routh on Superman V and I have to say if Routh looks as good as that pic in the movie then he will be a wonderful Superman!

i have faith in this movie :)

a few doubts...*cough* singer *cough* but i am hopeful :D

Well, I said I would make a manip of my ideal revamped Superman costume and here it is. It's still looking a little "manipy" and the colors stil need adjusting, but I'll polish it up eventually. So anyway, Instead of the needless (imo) changes we've been seeing, I instead just tried to make him look even more like the comic book hero we all know and love. He would be wearing a form fitting muscle suit beneath a layer of lycra and on the lycra itself would be airbrushed subtle values to highlight definition as shown. No wierd pattern on the fabric, and no silk shiny sheen. I altered the "S" a little (it came out to be pretty much a combo of a whole bunch of "S"'s) so that we could of course have a new look for the era; I gave him a more modern haircut (short and sized down a little, and instead of giving him a random spitcurl that always stays in place, I have it so that his hair is kinda brushed to the side a little so that when he's in motion or doing whatever, a spit curl would just fall naturally.) I haven't made the alteration to his belt, but it'll in essence be Stan Lee's design: oval shaped but kind of hollow in the center, you'll see. Anyway, I dunno bout you guys, but I still think classic works, is the best choice, and would alienate no one. Would any of you mind seeing a Superman like this on screen?

 well, it's almost perfect!
just... don't you think he should comb his hair the other way and the eyes and eyebrows are too close?

great stuff man, im ena the colors need some updating but you got it on th eball man. and routh as looks like he is .... nah wishful thinking. but greta work you are truely an artist

He looks a bit like Chris Noth there, certainly not a bad comparison. Anything official that WB shows, after seeing this (minus the belt), will be a letdown.

Very nice. . . Is the head a bit small or I'm I hallucinating?

I like the picture of Superman, but this is Clark Kent’s hair…you should have a hair different with Superman and Clark Kent!!! That’s why I should have a curl!

looks just darker colors and use gold and instead of yellow on S and belt. go to the Supersuit threads...there is a really good logo being used on a Welling manip and a manip with Reeve's body being used. Put that S symbol on here and change the belt to gold and then it would be ideal....

well, maybe your ideal
rolleyes.gif
...but this is mine. I'm not really a fan of the gold idea nor the logo you mentioned. Also, good point superhey.

EDIT: actually lol my bad, the logo being used is actually the one I made. I like the one I used on my suit pic better though.

How do we think Clark Kent will be treated? Major Dork like Reeve did or a more serious reporter? Reeve was brilliant but I wonder what Singer has in mind for Routh.

i think major dork, casue i think i heard routh was pretty good at doing the major dork version of clark. also he looked like a major dork in that halloween pic of his

innocent, straight forward, humorous and a bit nerd. i'm totally against the-trying-to be-decorative/attractive/sexy/smart clark kent.

i prefer th shy mordern geek tpe of clark, no 1970 version. i mean come on. let him be innnocet but not a totally dork. i prefer a big teddy bear type clark.
