The Official Darkseid Thread

Put Darkseid in all kinds of DC movies if you ask me, but he should be in the next Superman movie first.

Darkseid could die in the end of the movie. However, shouldn't Superman didn't kill him. He should be killed by the ship exploding like in Justice League episode,Twilight. Then he brought back to life by accident by the Legion of Doom in a sequel to the Justice League movie like in the JLU episodes, Alive and Destroyer. He then invades Earth and takes revenge on Superman.

My choice to play Lord Darksied is Michael Clarke Duncan. He has the muscle and the deep voice and the way he can bring the darkness to the character with the right effects and more would be awsome to see. I wouldnt want the main villain in Man of Steel to be him but a cameo from Darkseid where Supes fights him would be awsome.

The whole Superman movie franchise needs to open up it's universe a hell of a lot more.

For a charatcer that has ties to the universe itself and whose whole birthright spans the area of several galaxies, all the movies take place on just Earth and the moon. The creative department has one of the widest, most encompassing canvasses to build upon. But hasn't used practically any of it.

Well, if Superman is only as good as his villain, then Darkseid is one of the most logical choices.

Michael Clarke Duncan already played Kingpin in Daredevil.... Besides it's already been leaked that they ARE planning to put Darkseid in the movie played by Laurence Fishburne...

No it hasn't.

As for Fishburne, his voice is too soft.

Laurence is kinda...... small though.

Size doesn't matter for the role. Chances are, Darkseid would be done like Davy Jones...where an actor provides movement and some facial features, but for the most part is CGI.

Yeah, the same way that the Joker is. Sure, Darkseid's fought Superman before, but he shouldn't be considered a Superman rogue, unless all you've seen is the cartoon and the Jeph Loeb-written comics.

No, my defintion of someone being in any heroes rogue gallery is if they've had a lot of bad blood with that hero & has even had storylines with that hero.

Anyway, I'd love to see Darkseid in the MOS movie, it'd be a real treat to get some fight scenes between Darkseid & Superman.

Dude, you obviously lack common sense. Batman is a superhero, Darkseid is a villain & whenever Superman & Batman have fought, it's been because one or the other was under mind control. Common sense is not something you can learn to have & you obviously don't have it.
