actually, that would be one of the good things about he character, hes not someone that spidey can just fight, (hand to hand) to win
he would have to use his speed and agility, to keep out of harms way, always staying one step a head of him, out smart him, and put his intelligent to use to find a way to stop him, not just kick his a$$

Electro would be a great choice...(in fact, he would've been a great second villain to Sandman...rather than Venom, who should've been the sole villain in the last movie of the franchise, IMO.)

As for his look...

Come on...Electro's classic, decades-old green and yellow "star-mask" costume is what makes Electro Electro. If he shows up in a Spidey film, he must wear his classic outfit...AT LEAST for the first battle or two...then (after being picked on and made fun of) he can change it to something more modern for the final battle.

P.S. - neither the MTV cartoon nor the Saturday morning cartoon from the 90s should serve as the basis for what to do in the movies. They don't stick to the comic nearly as much as they should.

thats actually not a pretty bad idea! :wow: but they should probably modernize it up a bit...wait, let me rephrase that...ALOT!

exactly! :yay:

this is my 200th post :woot:

Haha.

Okay...well...obviously it would look a little better than that in the film.

ok, I was just joking around,

the original suit can probably be modernized to work on screen
maybe event something like this
(just put this together really quick)

though,to be honest, in the move, i don't see him wearing a costume
there’ll most likely go with the lineman who gets somehow zipped and gains electric powers, so, he'll probably still be wearing his work gear (standard lineman, type equipment) for most of the movie

maybe they can make it fit the color scheme, green suit, yellow safety harness straps ...ect.

Electro's a great character to begin with--there's plenty of story possibilies, since Max Dillon is a great figure for audience sympathy, while also being a badass when the situation calls for it...and besides that, just imagine all the potential he could have for special effects.

I mean, sure, we've seen electricity powers before...but there's so much that's untapped in that field.

Imagine Electro walking down a city street, the lights blasting out as he walks by. Imagine a fight against Spider-Man at a power company, waves of electricity thundering through the air. Imagine a scene like Light the Night, where Electro sucked out all the power in New York. Or, my personal favorite, imagine an Electro versus Spider-Man battle at night, in Times Square...now that's a kick ass action scene. ;)

it'd be really weird to see a supervillain run around in linemens gear lol

Count me in as another who wouldnt mind seeing Electro in SM4. And if not in 4, no later than 5.

I would love to see Electro in a Spidey movie. My top four I'd like to see still and the Lizard, Mysterio, Electro, and Kraven.

He could be what Dr. Doom wasn't in Fantastic Four, meaning he can actually put up an entertaining fight and not be bastardized and suck.

Electro would be an awesome villian to see in Spidey film. I agree that his costume/origin should not be based off either the 90's Animated Series nor the MTV Series. They'll probably come up with their own way to create him. Costume wise, I kinda see him looking like he does in Ultimate Spider-Man... except maybe dark green with a bit of yellow here and there instead of all black. Although, all black would be fine, IMO. As for his origin, I trust they can come up with something decent.

I'm not against the idea of having Electro in SM4. I'd rather see Lizard and Kraven though.

In all honesty, SM3 should've been Lizard/Kraven. Then, we could've seen Electro and Sandman in part 4. As for Venom and Carnage...they could've waited 'til the final film.

Do you think if Electro was in the movie that they would adapt him to make him like the Shocker where he has a weapon that shoots electricity?

no i think thats uber crap, that would make him even more unrealistic that he already is, make it ''organic'' like they did with spideys webs and have him create electricity with his hands

Electro is one of my fav Spidey villains. He's very underrated. Anyone who's read 'Light of the night' or Castro's Sinister Six novels, knows what great potential Electro has.

Please use him, Sam. He's a classic. And, you love the classics :cwink:
Don't forget (I think the ish is called) "the chump, the challenge, the champion", where Electro shows how much his powers can do. The guy was able to tap into Nate Greys brain and prevent him from going into his own because brain cells work by transfering electric impulses.
Electro is trully an underused villain.

Among the preferred, next upcoming Spidey villains:

1) .... far more Venom

2) Electro

3) Scorpion

4) Mysterio

5) Lizard

6) Morbius the Living Vampire

Admittedly i cannot get motivated and excited about seeing Kraven
or Vulture.
They would have to play major limited parts and behind
the first top three choices.

Please no more Goblins !... Gwen Stacy issue or not ...it'll be a true
burnt-out overkill.

I am writing a Spider-Man 5 with Electro. It is by the far the most depressing villain I've had to write for. I change a lot about Electro though, it's more the MTV version mixed with the comics version. It's gloomy as hell- but GREAT at the same time. Damn I can't wait to release SM5 for you guys to read. Don't worry it's not completely the MTV version- just the part of the characterization of Dillon and is rank in college heirarchy is, but taken to a more chilling level. A real eye opener especially with what has been going on and what has happened recently.

Electro is kick ass and trust me, the way I adapted him makes sense and does have an impact on Peter's journey without being actually connected to him.

I would also like to see him used...

I had an idea for him to be in Spider-Man 5 along with Mysterio.
Just take my word for it... it would be awesome. :cwink:

Check fan fiction forums dude, I've had that idea for a LONG time and I'm putting idea to page just like I did for my take on an SM4.

As for the look.... MTV did a great idea- seeing the blue electric pulse in the face but took it too far. I think it would be bettle to play it out subtly with hints along the way. That with a more Ultimate mixed with classics comic suit equals perfection in my opinion. The only thing that wouldn't translate that well is Electro's mask- thus, you find a way to do something cool with his face and the theme of the villain and you're set.

Sounds interesting. Although I wasnt very high on the MTV Spider-Man show reinterpretation of Electro, your combination of that, the ultimate version, and the 616 Electro sounds interesting enough to me to want to read a sample sometime.

And as you can well imagine, I definately agree with the general consensus here that Electro has much potential to be a great villain for Spider-Man to face in a future sequel. Preferably, the sooner the better (Spider-Man 4). However, I sincerely wouldnt want to see him get "Venomed" in the storyline, so patience can be a virtue. Although I have total faith in Raimi's ability to not only translate Dillon on the silver screen in a respectful, and satisfying way, but also to convey to the audience how simply badass of a villain Electro can be in the Spider-Man rogues gallery. I mean, this is the same guy that once had Parker beg for his life just so he would have the satisfaction.

In short, Electro in a future Spider-Man sequel is a definate must! :)

Okay, for Electro, you have to ditch the original costume. Completely. Or at least almost completely. I don't know what he would wear, exactly. It wouldn't be as casual as t-shirt and jeans, for example, but it wouldn't be a "supervillain costume."

As far as the character goes, what you do is play up his inferiority complex, and you go a little bit into the issues he had with his abusive mother that were shown in the comics. You make him extremely emotionally and mentally unstable. He can't be a cool, calculating villain. He is a danger to himself AND others, and his instability is what makes him so dangerous. His powers give him, by far, the highest capacity for widespread destruction, of any Spider-Man villain thus far, and he lacks the ability to think clearly. Scary.

What it culminates to, of course, is a climax where, in an effort to prove himself to everyone (in his own neurotic mind), he absorbs a ridiculous amount of electricity (a la the Light Up the Night storyline) which makes him really powerful, he basically threatens to electrocute everyone in New York (or everyone in the general vicinity; the specific range isn't important right now). Of course, he would be foiled by Spider-Man. His death (and yes, he WOULD die) would either be by willing suicide due to his humiliation at Spider-Man simultaneously defeating him and saving his life (since the amount of electricity he absorbs would likely kill him) or by pridefully refusing to heed Spidey's warnings even after he tells him the amount of electricty he's absorbing will kill him. Or something. Just a half-baked idea.

I'd like to see Electro eventually. But not in SM4.

I wonder how they're gonna pull off Electro's costume, haha. Maybe they'll pull a Bryan Singer and actually try to come up with a logical reason for the crazy mask/helmet thing.
