Sequels The Official Electro in Spider-Man 4 thread!

chaseter, why would they give untested drugs to a patient with a deadly cancer?
The whole idea that he needs shots every 6 hours to live is a bit much for me...

Nevertheless, I am quite interested in seeing Electro on the big screen!
Personally, I would go for someone older to play him... like Matt Damon.

As far as looks go... I would like to see something similar to Ultimate Electro.

Change that costume to a dark green and i'm there

I was thinking about Electro this morning and I came up with this idea. I think when He gets Electricuted, we should see the electricity going through the inside of the body and we see the mutation inside His body like what they did with Sandman. I think it would be great to see.
If he is in the movie, I think that will happen because it happened with Peter in Spidey 1 and Sandy in Spidey 3.....:yay:

Yeah, And that is defenitley the two reasons why I think we are going to see what is happening inside of Electros body. It's great thought because it looked so realistic with Peter in Spidey1 and Sandman in Spidey3 so I really hope they do it with Electro:up::yay:.

would be cool.

I would love Electro in Spider-Man 4 as well. If you watch the TAS episode The Price of Heroism you can see the potential Electro has...not in terms of origin mind I mean as a visual spectacle.

I think Zachary Quinto(Sylar from Heroes) would make a good electro.

Electro is god awful in the comics, but in a film version, he can be one of the best comic villains of all-time, both visually and character-wise.

He was certainly underrated and under used.

Electro is also one of my personal favourite villans and is a must for one of the future films, but i wouldnt mind a appearance from scorpion and rhino. I also think it would be great (if not amusing) if shocker showed up in one of the movies even if it is not a main role.

Would you not take an new, untested drug for a chance to live if you were going to die anyway? The shot is to illustrate that without the drugs, he becomes weak, ill and dies. Do you think it is ridiculous that diabetes patients have to regularly take insulin shots to live? This is nothing out of the ordinary...it is either that or 26 pills he has to take every morning like most HIV patients. Plus the blue drug along with the radiation is the catalyst for his mutation. Max has to have a reason to survive the massive dose of electricity and become a villian. Just getting shocked is not excuse. Electro doesn't need a costume...all of his costumes have been cheesy. And Matt Damon had better not EVER step foot in a Spider-Man film....ever.

It is not a question whether or not I would take a new, untested drug... but rather if doctors would actually prescribe it. Maybe we're not from the same country, which is why this could be different... but usually new drugs need to be tested and accepted before they are used on humans, no? Plus, if it is untested... they cannot know how it "really" works, no?

I do effectively think that he should not simply get shocked and magically transform into Electro. On the other hand, the whole idea of untested drugs seems a bit silly to me. Secondly, considering the fact that this is still a superhero movie, I would like to have him in a costume... a spiky haired Ben Foster in everyday clothes isn't really my idea of a "stand out" and cool villain. Furthermore, what's wrong with Matt Damon? Are you simply mad because I don't like your idea? As far as I'm concerned, he's a way better actor than Ben Foster. Anyways... whatever floats your boat.

Electro could have the classic mask by making him an electrician wearing a yellow plastic hard hat and the bolt of electricity rips and twists the hard hat into a star shape looking mask.

I hope Electro looks more like Ultimate Electro if he is ever in a movie.

If a new drug, that has been animal tested and is yet to go into the human testing, why not let someone take it? I mean if they desperately wanted it to live...why not? They have to explain Electro's birth, these movies are very scientific and are good in explaining origins. Something has to be the catalyst for Max to retain the electricity and use it. Him just getting shocked isn't going to do it. The performance enhancers had yet to be human tested but that didn't stop Norman...because he was desperate. Just like someone on the verge of death would be...loosing everything. You think mine is silly, yet you have not thrown an idea out yourself??? Matt Damon is a good actor, just not a comic character. Ben Foster IMO could pull it off. He has done some great work with gritty, angry characters. I also don't think a mask would look good either. Norman had to hide his identity from the public because he feared he would be identified...Flint, Ock, and now Electro had/have no reason to hide their identities. They don't live double lives like Spider-Man or Goblin does. They fully embrace their powers and use them for evil because they know that even though they could be identified...they can't be stopped by the cops. Maybe a green and yellow costume or attire might work but no mask.

I don't know if using drugs untested on humans is legal though... Plus, like I said in my previous post, I do believe that just having him get shocked before becoming Electro is a bad idea... there needs to be something else added to the mix. Although I am still not quite sure what that might be, that doesn't mean I can't find your idea silly... Like I don't have to make my own movie before I can say someone else's is bad. As far as the mask is concerned, I also believe that he should not be wearing one... mainly for the reasons you stated, but I want him to have a costume though.

I want an updated classic Electro suit. Electro is a good choice for Spidey 4.

^I don't think we will see Electro in SM4 but I have high hopes we see him in SM5.

Check out the screenplay in my sig...

My version of Electro is somewhat of a mixture: classic comics, MTV interpretation, and my take on both of those together in a realistic setting.

He has the potential to be a very psychologically moving and relevant villain.

So, for my take on Electro- check the link to my Spider-Man 5 screenplay in my sig.

Electro is a must for future Spidey films. They can do a lot of stuff him. He can make it so Spider-man can't touch him without getting shocked, so Spidey will have to use something other than his fists.
