You couldn't pay me enough to get Gears 2.

Official Xbox Magazine gave this game a 10/10t:
Im really confused about this game. They say its an RPG and thats how its classified but everything I see of it screams FPS. What is it, a shooter with RPG elements? An RPG that plays like a shooter? Does it not really fit quite into either category?

I loved me some Oblivion, so really thats the main draw that this will have for me. The guns and shooting threw me off though, bc its not typically what I expect from an RPG. Im used to swords and spellsIts like Oblivion. You can switch from the First Person perspective to the Third Person perspective. Altho this time around, playing in the Third Person wont suck.![]()

It's basically Oblivion in an entirely different setting.
I hope it's abit more than that.
It is. On a podcast I heard Fallout 3 accurately described as, "Oblivion for people that hated Oblivion." I fall into that category and I'm loving FO3 so far. It does feel like TESIV at times, it runs on the same engine after all, but it's better in almost every way that I can see.
Perhaps the three most important improvements are skills, level scaling, and dialogue. Your skills matter a hell of a lot more in this game. The level scaling is done in a much more sensible fashion, and the dialogue is vastly improved over Oblivion's.
I can only hope Bethesda will implement a lot of what they've done with Fallout 3 into The Elder Scrolls V.

Are they still making The Elder Scrolls V into a MMORPG format?I can only hope Bethesda will implement a lot of what they've done with Fallout 3 into The Elder Scrolls V.

I rented Fable 2 and it's the kind of game that might be fun the first time around but I don't see it having much replay value. I haven't tried Far Cry 2 yet.
