Just finished finding all of the steel in The Pitt. Wasn't too bad, and you get a lot of swag.
That was maddening! Rawr! All I wanted was that tribal power armor. I had like like 90+ but I just couldn't find the last few. I ended up just killing Ashur and taking his armor.
I just need to get one more bobblehead at the Deathclaw Sanctuary and have to do the last mission and I'm done with the regular game.
Of course I do have a question. I downloaded all 3 DLC but after listening to a review on XPlay, they say that if you played through earlier DLC (Anchorage and the Pitt) the experience doesn't carry over. Now does this mean you have to play it after Broken Steel? Or that because of the raised cap it messes with it?
After beating the last level of the regular game, I was going to jump on Anchorage, the Pitt and then Broken Steel. I'm halfway to Level 25 now. Anyone know anything?
What level were you at when you finished the regular game?![]()
http://www.gamespot.com/news/blogs/sidebar/909182374/index.htmlDLC hits PS3 in June.
Operation Anchorage, The Pitt and Broken Steel all coming to PS3 starting in June; two more DLC packs coming to all formats in the form of Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta.
Just over a year ago at E3 2008, Microsoft announced it had secured Xbox 360/PC exclusivity for Fallout 3 downloadable content. Now, three releases down the line, that agreement has come to an end, as Bethesda has announced that all existing and forthcoming Fallout 3 DLC will be making its way to Sony's PlayStation 3.
Operation: Anchorage will be the first content pack released on PS3 in June, while The Pitt and Broken Steel will follow at 4-6 week intervals. The game itself will also receive a new update on PS3, allowing owners to download and play the new content on the console.
Bethesda has also confirmed two more downloadable content packs set for release on all formats. 'Point Lookout' will release in late-June on Xbox 360 and PC and will focus on a new swampland area, while Mothership Zeta promises a 'first hand alien abduction' come late July on both platforms. Both packs will be released at 800 Microsoft Points, and will make their way to the PlayStation 3 once the first three packs have been released.
In addition to the gamut of DLC, Bethesda also has more retail releases for Fallout 3 in the works. 'Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #1' is an add-on disc containing both The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage, and will be released in Europe on Xbox 360 and PC on June 12. The second add-on disc, 'Fallout 3 Game Add-on Pack #2' will include Broken Steel and Point Lookout and will be released in August. Finally, 'Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition' will be available in October, including the original game plus all five add-ons for £39.99 on Xbox 360 and PS3, and £29.99 on PC.
20. I beat everything up until the final mission well before the DLC came out. So I've kind of run out of things to do now.
IGN: Without spoiling too much for us, what is the general plotline of Point Lookout's new quests?
Todd Howard: Yeah, I really don't want to spoil it yet. It has a swampy-horror vibe. It's the brainchild of Joel Burgess and Nate Purkeypile, two of our best people here. Their pitch was, "picture backwoods Maryland, where the bombs didn't actually fall, but the world has left it behind." It's also big. Really big. It's a mini wasteland swamp to explore. It has a main quest, side quests, etc.
IGN: What about for Mothership Zeta?
Todd Howard: If you poke around Fallout 3, you can find a crashed UFO with an alien inside that is broadcasting a signal your Pip-Boy picks up. This is where you can get the alien blaster. Well, Mothership Zeta is answering the distress call. You get abducted and the whole thing takes place on a giant alien spacecraft. It's one of those classic 50's B movie type things, but with a harder edge.

IGN: Why is it that the first three pieces of DLC are finally hitting the PS3? Was it a timed exclusivity deal, or was something else worked out?
Todd Howard: It's mostly the workload on us. Based on our Oblivion experience, it was clear that Xbox users were much more comfortable buying content, by a wide margin. It's a lot of work to get them ready for a particular platform and now that they've been so popular, we want to get them on the PS3. And there's obviously been a lot of frustration on the part of PS3 owners, who don't feel they are getting the total Fallout 3 experience, and we don't want that to happen. We want everyone to have everything, but we still need to set priorities so we can use our development time wisely.
IGN: Was the eventual PlayStation 3 release for the existing DLC always in the works, or was it something that came up after the fact?
Todd Howard: We always wanted to do it, but until it actually looks like it will happen, we don't want to make promises. We've been working on it and they aren't done yet so it's going to take time for each DLC to be moved over to the PS3 and work well. As a result there will still be a month or so gap between each one once they start hitting on the PS3.
A Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition will be available in October. It will include the original game plus all five add-ons for $59.99 for Xbox 360 and PS3, and $49.99 for PC.

I love the Alien Blaster. Especially after getting my ass handed to me trying to take down a Deathclaw just with a hunter rifle.
