Since I only really properly got into comics in my late teens I'm not really all that 'in' with the greater DC continuity. So I mainly stick to the really good animated shows and miniseries or collected editions. Rather than following DC issue by issue. And I ask, are there any good miniseries with The Flash at the heart of it or at least a prominent/main character?

FYI- Flashpoint is actually gonna change things. I have only seen a very tiny bit of the impact but it seems huge. Keep in mind I am not privy to much- they're keeping it on the down-low. Had to sign an NDA just to talk to my editors!

It's already starting to change things for the good, in a recent Flash issue they blamed the JMS Wonder Woman on a glitch in the timeline

Worst case scenario, Wally West reverts to a teenager and goes back to being Kid Flash. DC seems to be obsessed with returning to the silver-age status quote, and that has sadly put good ol' Wally in the editorial crosshairs, and he has been ever since they decided to bring Barry back permanently. I sense that DC's current editorial staff only wants one Flash, and since Barry was silver age that automatically makes him the preferred candidate.

Wally West is the Flash I grew up with. It saddens me to see DC working actively to shove him out of the picture.

Is it wrong for me to have no interest in Flashpoint since I don't like how they screwed Wally over and second off I am not really a Flash (Barry) person.

I'd like to think that Flashpoint is going to undo some of the crap that has happened from Rebirth onward. I think it was a dumb move to bring Barry back, but I know I'll be setting myself up for dissapointment if I think that any additional change to the status quote won't involve Wally West hanging up his Flash tights permanently.

The Silver Age is DC's golden calf-- they worship it at an altar, and they always seem to be looking for ways to re-integrate parts of the Silver Age into modern continuity-- just look at Metallo's horrible "new" look if you need further evidence. During the Silve Age, Wally was Barry's sidekick. It's not the Silver Age anymore-- we are in the freaking modern age, and the modern Flash was Wally West ever since the 1980s. Geoff Johns has made Barry into his personal Marty Stu, and Wally has been appearing less and less ever since.

I'm pretty sure that means it will pick up with 13 after Flashpoint is over. The sales aren't bad enough and the reviews aren't terrible, so I see no reason to permanently cancel it.

If Flash 12 leads into Flashpoint 1 then it makes sense to put the series on hold until Flashpoint is over.
