So, according to CBM:

Steve Wacker asked fans at Fan Expo how they felt about Gambit, specifically as an X-Man.

He hinted he wants to use Remy outside the X, and again about gambit being the next "Man without Fear".

So between Gischler hinting he'd have a big role in the new "adjectiveless", and this involvement with Daredevil, it looks like this could indeed be a big year for the Cajun.

Watch, he'll die at the end of the year, god knows us gambit fans can never see a happy ending!

Don't say that! LOL. I don't know crap about The Man Without Fear beyond the one promo pic but I'd be happy to pay the usual $4 for anything with Gambit in it. :)

They've been waiting for 10 years to kill him off. This might (and I hope not) be a way to do it. :(

I dunno, but I guess if it happens, I wouldn't be surprised...

Is Gambit even THAT important for a death to really impact the series. He's not Jean or Xavier or anything

He isn't to them... They haven't shown him much love recent years. So killing him off wouldn't be much of a drama to them. I would to me, but I'm just a fan and fans... pff... not important. ;) :(

His dying would matter to ME. I'd probably drop the comics altogether. :argh:

For the record:

Theres NO rumors of his death

I was just making a point about how bad he always gets sh** on

lol sry for any confusion!

^^ I knew that, I was just sayin'. :p I haven't been all that thrilled with the main Xbooks lately, losing Gambit would just be the last straw, you know?

I don't think anyone thought there were any rumours about Gambit dying. Just saying, what if. :)

I know they said this for 2010 but i do believe 2011 will be the year for Gambit.

For one i feel that the Gambit/Storm one shot must have turned some heads as all i've heard is that people think it's the best comic for a long time

Also from the sounds of things Gambit will be a major player in Adjectiveless.

Lets not mention Legacy.........

Yeah, I don't think we'll be seeing Gambit in Legacy or Uncanny for a long time which is fine with me. Those books have been kinda boring lately anyhow.

He was in the background of X-men #2. He was just sitting there.

I've seen that one before. It's just amazing! :D Makes you wish he still drew for whatever X team Gambit is on now. :)

Yeah, but I think he's exclusive to DC for a while. I'm not sure. I know he's busy with the DCU online videogame. He does do an awesome Gambit.

Whats this talk about Gambit dying? :(

He's just sick, that's all. :oldrazz:

Anyone remember there was the odd 'Gambit movie' rumour here and there after Wolverine? Clearly the highlight of that film and one of the few things it got right. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie, but I'm fairly ignorant of the actual Wolverine origin and even I know what character should be good guys and which should be bad (Agent Zero & Wraith).

Anyways, back to my point. I haven't seen anything related to Gambit being in any X movie for a long time. I'm not sure it didn't get past the 'that would be a good idea' stage. Though Marvel didn't exactly help his profile any after the odd appearance they gave him round about the movie's debut.

Though I'm still hoping that they can pull off a good Deadpool spin-off. They've nearly got everything togother, but on the other hand they've nearly ruined it all already with scheduling conflicts etc. Grrr.

I hope they change their minds and make a Gambit spin off instead...

But in all honesty, I keep saying it, there's so many Gambit fans, a Gambit spin off would do great.

If Magneto cant get a spinoff, I doubt Gambit will. The best case is he'll be squeezed into Wolverine Pt II like Magneto was squeezed into First Class

Well, the thing is that we saw a lot of Magneto's history in the X-trilogy. We know how he became the way he is now. No need to repeat that. Gambit however... (and I'm not going to repeat it again!)

Yea Gambit's debut issues has a really good story to adapt to the screen. But why do Gambit when you can have First Class, x-MEN 4, Wolverine 2, First Class 2, X-men 5...

But from a box office standpoint it doesnt make sense because most of the general public know nuts about Gambit. He may be awesome, but every X-men is awesome to someone somewhere....
