Holy *****...this game kicks so much ass! I am nothing short of floored. The opening level was insane, in my opinion that's how all games should start...EXPLOSIVE!

This is easily the best installment in the trilogy, it's a shame to see it end. *Haven't gotten very far so who knows how it will end!*

where are they? I have not seen PS3 in weeks and that hasnt changed at all this week or today when I went out. Amazon and most online retailers havent had them in stock for a while and still dont. Retailers using Buy.com have bumped the price up of both the 120 and 250gb up by ~ $100 bc the demand is high yet the supply is low. Thats just crazy

Iv played for about 4 hours. Its God of War. Which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. They really didn't advance the series at all, but then again, God of War and God of War II were pretty damn good. Im not all that impressed with the visuals tho. I was more impressed when i saw God of War II than i was when i saw this game. The environments at times, leaves much to be desired. There are some places where the textures are just down right poor. Kratos looks fantastic tho. Overall its a fantastic game. At this point tho, iv enjoyed both God of War and God of War II better. That could change once i complete III tho.

You either have to be blind or just insane if you don't find these visuals to be impressive. Some of the best graphics I've ever seen on a console. To each their own I guess.

God of War I and II look terrible now. I have the GoW Collection and even that is still pretty ugly. GoW III pretty much blows them away when it comes to the visuals.

Considering this game is on the PS3 and I and II are on the PS2 that's not hard to believe. They looked phenominal for their times though, and are still fairly impressive today.

That said, God of War III, and especially the model for Kratos look amazing. Kratos' character model is probably the best and most detailed put in a game to date.

And these boss fights are effing ridiculous.

One of them confirms that kratos does have a brother in hades with the he became a god while live in torment they didn't say it out loud buts thats how I toke it. Also I wonder if that women who wrote that one note is kratos mother most likely it is.

Might be misremembering, but I'm pretty sure it said in two that she wasn't in Hades, but the Greek's version of Heaven/Paradise (the actual name escapes me) when he meets her soul

I guess i probably should have said that i was underwhelmed by the visuals. Not to say they are poor, but i had higher expectations considering how God of War I and II looked when the released on the PS2. When i first played God of War II i felt much more awe in terms of the visuals then when i first booted up God of War III.

The word 'duh' comes to mind. PS2 vs PS3.

I disagree. Both GoW I and II look pretty bad considering what the PS2 was capable of.

I don't know about that, maybe from an art direction standpoint, but technical graphics-wise? Not to say there weren't other games that looked great on the PS2 or anything, but GOW I & II are generally considered pretty high among the cream of the crop for the system visuals-wise

The Cronos fight was amazing the whole time I was thinking this is my grandfather I'm fighting.

I can't tell you how much I enjoy the fact that the QTE button notifications are no longer in the middle of the screen. A great change, I think.

Also, Kratos has been working out, since now he only needs one hand to open the power-up chests
