On Set update on 'car stunt'. Remember when the stunt team was testing a car scene last month? Well, the scene will be shot for real..this week:

A section of Lake Road in Madisonville will be closed intermittently Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. as a film crew prepares to shoot scenes for the movie 'The Green Lantern'

The closure will be from Mabel Drive south to Lake Pontchartrain in the vicinity of the so-called "high bridge," according to the state highway department.
The Madisonville Police Department will have officers around the affected area to assist with traffic control.

Crews from Warner Brothers will be on location to run a tests with a stunt car. The crew ran tests last month at the same location. Bill Doyle, supervising location manager, said last month the movie will be shot entirely in the New Orleans area. It will be filming through August.

I agree with Octoberist - the ship does look kind of small. It looks more like a pod than a full blown ship but on the other hand it's also more alien looking in appearance than the comic book version.

I'm pretty sure its safe to say that it's Abin's ship.

Last week, the Green Lantern film crew moved the production to the University of New Orleans (UNO) Science Building, located on Founders Ave in New Orleans, LA. Though the majority of filming that took place were for interior scenes, the movie crew had local law enforcement and private security block off the entire building's perimeter from a few blocks away.

Thanks to CBM scooper Sean Brewington, who managed to snap these pictures before being noticed by studio security, we can at least get a peak of the exterior of the closed set:

yea its just interior stuff they were doing on the campus, so it will probably be standing in for hammond's lab/office.

Well I think that in the case of Edward Scissorhands, it was made on purpose. That movie never aspired to be realistic, on the contrary, it was meant to be a poetic tell so yeah everything was protrayed in an extreme way, like the houses looking all alike...

yea totally i see nothing wrong with campus building names myself, heck a few of mine were just called science building, communication building, and it was only interior work right on those day.
