She really has become an entertaining villain. Every move she makes aggravates the crap out of me and the fact that she is doing it right under the guardians nose makes her even more of a threat. I love hating her.

Well I found my Green Lantern comics and there's a plot point I completely forgot about; Paralax being split into the 4 Earth Lanterns. I wonder how this will come into play. I imagine at the point where there is officially a green and yellow alliance, Hal Kyle John and Guy will use Paralax... FOR GOOD!!!...or something, I dunno.

I imagine lines will be Green Yellow and Blue
verses Red Orange Indigo and Violet.
...or something, I dunno.

How'd I not see this?
Yep. And he went to Gardner first but he turned him down. Rayner was the next guy he saw. Something like that...
Nah, that's not what happened. Rayner was the first and only guy Ganthet went to.

You're probably thinking of Guy's original origin; he actually was just as suited as Hal to wear Abin Sur's ring, but it went to Hal simply because Hal was physically closer.

That sounded a little off to me, but early Kyle is not my forte since I became a fan with JLA, so I didn't want to say anything.

I'd love to only hate her for a few more issues before she is just killed. Hopefully have a bridge dropped on her.

Man this new issue of Corps was just ****ing epic beyond belief! Seriously Kyle just reminded me why he is my absolutely favorite character in comicdom.

So I know I'm not the only person totally in favor or these prisoner executions. Kyle and Guy are being whack right now. Maybe they should join the Star Sapphires :whatever:

Why should they be killed though? Once the rest of that prisoners respective Corps finds out that they were killed its just going to cause strife. The GL Corps was founded as a Peace Keeping Corp, a Interegalactic Police Force. No police force should be allowed to kill unarmed ARRESTED prisoners for ANY reason.

Yeah. There's definitely more problems caused by killing those prisoners than by just throwing them in cells. They just need to design a better place to hold Red Lanterns... or kill Scar who seems to enjoy ruining everything.

Frankly, I found myself agreeing with Guy on this. A lot of those people deserve execution, but like any sentient being they also deserve a trial and due process.

And as Hush said, no peacekeeping force has the right to execute unarmed prisoners for any reason.

That was definitely the big part of what Guy was talking about. He wasn't saying you shouldn't kill... you should just make sure you kill the right people. :hehe:

Well at the end of all of this I think we may see a Splinter group, one made up of select Lanterns than can challenge the guardians. It may not happen but it would be nice if the Honor Lanterns plus a few had some tiny bit of authority. Right now you have Guardians and Alpha, Honor Lanterns. Somewhere ION fits in there but he is primarily just a mascot. So what you should have is a like a Group of Lanterns that are chosen to have the authority too challenge the Guardians in desperate times. Either that or I can see Kyle and Guy forming a group of "Rouge Lanterns" that feel they are carrying out the original oath they took.

I like the somewhat obvious route of the Guardians being removed from the Corps because of all these decisions they've made recently.

Yeah but i dont think they will outright be taken out of the Corps seeing as they seem to have the most access to the Corps energy.

I know they're all about keeping peace but their holding facilities are clearly not up to standard. As far as I'm concerned, the more criminals you kill today, the less repeat offenders there are tomorrow. What need is there for a trial when the criminal is a yellow or red lantern that you KNOW killed somebody? I wish they'd speed up the executions so they can go kill more bad guys

What was F'd up of the guardians was selling out the blue lanterns a few weeks ago. Not cool.

Yeah but spoons its just not ethically right, even if they did kill, you could argue they are under the influence of thier ring which selected them, they did not chose. They are essentially just doing the duty of there corps.

Well. I don't mean that everyone votes and the Guardians are booted... I mean like a large number of them die and maybe the last remaining ones get forced out... realize the error of their ways... etc etc.

As Kyle said, it's not about them, it's about holding up an ideal. Sure a lot of rapists, murderers, and whatnot deserve to be executed and it's plain fact that they did it. But fair trials and due process are ideals that must be upheld in a civil society.

Also, there will be backlash. If Green Lanterns were held prisoner by the Sinestros, they too would have attempted to escape the first chance they got. Do they deserve to be executed? An action such as this can create backlash of retaliation in the same manner.

Sinestro would actually try to convert most of the GL's i would think.

I got bored.

In my opinion, the Sinestro Corps is doomed because it has two types of people. You have Sinestro's Sinestros who are more like the peacekeepers that the Green Lanterns are, but they view it in a more tyrannical approach and use fear as a tool to keep order, and then you have Mongul's Sinestros who are nothing more than thugs.

Sinestro would totally do something like that. But Mongul would execute them plain and simple.

Yeah you are totally right. I think the Mongul followers though will soon come to the realization that he is an idiot soon. Then we will have the Sinestro Corps as we came to know them.

The Eve of Blackest Night: Geoff Johns on...Everything

Pretty good article. This make me happy the most:

And since John Stewart was a central figure in Justice League over the last year, he hasn’t been as prominent in the Green Lantern stories as of late. That changes starting in Blackest Night with a pretty shocking event in Green Lantern #44, which Doug Mahnke illustrated beautifully. And Green Lantern #48 is all John Stewart.
Here's hoping some good things happen with him.

NRAMA: You've said before that Larfleeze is one of your favorite characters. We found out in issue #42 that with all his greediness, he's actually pretty funny. Was that fun for you to write?

GJ: He's such a weird character. And when you see him interact with Atrocitus, it's bizarrely hilarious. That's not something you'd expect with Atrocitus there. Like when you have Atrocitus interacting with Sinestro, it's not going to be punch and roses. It's just like the rings. Some interact well, and some do not. The fun thing about Larfleeze is that he is so out of touch with everything, he doesn’t understand why someone would be angry all the time. “What does THAT get you?”

hahaha, awesome. Can't wait.
