Tarantino is just like Kevin Smith. He talks about a bunch of projects he'll never do. Atleast Robert Rodriguez trys to keep his promises and doesn't take forever to release SE DVDs of his movies.

Robert Rodriguez had the Special Edition of Sin City out 5 months after the original DVD release.

It's just Tarantino who takes forever to release SEs, but who knows how this one will be.

Well, all things considered these films were produced through Dimension and Troublemaker Studios (Robert's studio), so the odds are far better here.

my wait list is a list of movies that are the first dip (no features, etc) and you know the studio is going to release an awesome new special edition (like die hard, speed, pulp fiction, jackie brown, reservior dogs, etc.)

true lies just happens to be on that list, so that's why it's not in my collection yet.

as of this morning, i've decided that i'm NOT buying the SE DVDs (although I think the tins are AWESOME!) If they're going to be stupid and leave off the trailers, then my money's going somewhere else!
