as of this morning, i've decided that i'm NOT buying the SE DVDs (although I think the tins are AWESOME!) If they're going to be stupid and leave off the trailers, then my money's going somewhere else!

Same here. I don't mind double-dipping occasionally, but a ploy as blatant and stupid as this one shouldn't be rewarded. I'll wait for a proper release.

It's not really an issue, there's tons of other movies I can buy in the meantime. I only want it for Death Proof and the trailers anyway, but even though I didn't care for PT I think it should released as one film instead of a cheap, unapologetic cash grab.

I feel the same except I want PT. I would have prefered the original cut, but Dimension's become nothing but a pain with films over the last three years.

I'll end up with all of the editions in the long run. Just like I did with DAWN OF THE DEAD for an example and now KILL BILL (finally!)

Though I haven't rebought all of Taratino's stuff.

Irony for me is I missed it opening week because I was sick as hell. Couldn't help myself there and I've been waiting on them forever.

It was my area for all of that week and it was gone.

I never got a chance as my local theater didn't even carry it. Two movies in my 32-year life they didn't carry: Grindhouse and Brokeback Mountain.

Rented Brokeback and dl'ed Grindhouse, both of which I would have gladly paid to see but the choice was taken out of my hands both times.

Granted, this is an issue with my theater rather than Bob and Harv but it's still useable as a legitimite gripe.

I hope for a world where Frank Darabont lives for 1000 years and makes a metric-buttload of awesome Stephen King adaptations, since he seems to be the only chap that can do it.
