Sequels The Official "How YOU would do Spider-Man 4" thread

I dunno, as long as they don't make another train wreck like Spidey 3. Can't they get someone else besides Raimi?? Where's James Cameron at? Or some other wild action director.
:ikyn

I'm still kinda miffed about movie Connors being "no biologist" thus inevitably altering the origin story. This would be far less plausible than Mary Jane wanting to be an actress all her life then suddenly realizing that what she wants to do is sing. Plus, I can't help but wonder what will become of his symbiote.

Well, Carnage or not, I am hoping for a Lizard in SM4 as, was previously suggested, in the vein of Cronenberg's "The Fly" with a steady Transformation throughout the movie rather than a Jekyll/Hyde or Hulk thing going on.

Day 1-Arm

Day 2-Hand, a few scales, some teeth fall out

Day 3-Wakes up having eaten the family dog, more scales, teeth continue falling out and being replaced by sharper ones, small tail begins to grow, nails thicken

Day 4- New sharp teeth grow, nails become clawlike, body nearly covered in scales, tail becomes noticeable, eyes start changing as does skeletal structure, sPike in aggressive behavior

Day 5- Starts looking and acting alot more like a lizard in a lab coat. Can't think straight anymore but can still talk. Eats a bothersome character. Confronts cops and sPider-Man. Disappears.

Day 6- Lizard is far more powerful and animalistic but still has some semblance of human intelligence though he's losing his oratory functions. Kraven, hired by the Police department, tracks Lizard to the Bronx Zoo where they have a 3-way face-off. Lizard craves live prey, Kraven wants a Lizard trophy, sPidey wants to save and cure Lizard.

Day 7- I'm thinking a rematch and final confrontation at an airport.

will they 'mess' around w/ spidey's costume? One can the the alteration on the 2nd film but it looks like they left it alone for the 3rd flick. Maybe they should give him the armpit webbing w/ a mask that actually gives him some facial expressions. I would throw that into a 4th spidey movie.
:ikyn

The armpit webbing might be interesting but no to the facial expressions.

Spider-Man 4

By Mr. Wooden Alligator

Treatment:

Adrian Toomes would be a business man who hired a master assassin, the Chameleon, to take out big business rivals. Since Spider-Man saved Gwen from being killed by that crane in Spider-Man 3, Captain Stacy has started working in conjunction with the web-slinger to apprehend these gangs being supplied by Toomes. Toomes is prepared for Spider-Man. The businessman has designed a flight suit with a number of features, such as wing-mounted homing missiles (the “Feathers” of the wings are the missiles/pin missiles). Spider-Man manages to apprehend Toomes and swings away before the NYPD can take him in. At this point they don’t know Spider-Man is working with Captain Stacy. It’s a secret. Confessions from various thugs, inventories of missing gear from Toomes’s company, and leaks about illicit human experimentation ends up putting Toomes behind bars.

Mary Jane has been having nightmares of Peter losing control of himself, combined with flashes of that time at the jazz club where he hit her. She decides to go to her mother for advice. She tells Mary Jane about how she had fallen in love with her father much like Mary Jane did with Peter. After this, Mary Jane begins to think about whether or not she wants to stay with Peter.

Peter’s grades have seen such an improvement that Dr. Connors has asked him, Gwen, and a select few other students to assist him in a research project. They are studying the regenerative effects of reptiles in relation to human physiology and biology. That night at the Connors household, the doctor’s wife asks him how much longer he’ll be doing late work in the lab. She reminds him about how he’s missed important events for their son by working late in the lab. He tries to apologize to her, but she tells him to apologize to his son. So Connors goes to his son’s bedroom and apologizes. Though the boy doesn’t really accept the apology, but gives Connors more a “that’s okay” and crawls into bed to sleep. In the hallway Mrs. Connors tells Curt that their son needs a father who’ll be there for him. Then she tells him flat out that she’ll leave him if there’s any more late night research.

The next day Peter goes to kiss Mary Jane goodbye and she accepts the kiss but flinches at the touch of his hand to her shoulder. Peter pretends he didn’t notice and heads on to school. Mary Jane gets up from the table and digs out that play Harry had written and begins reading through it. At college, Connors has cancelled the day’s lectures to finish up his research in one long session. Many tests on guinea pigs yield fascinating results, such as hairless, slightly scaly re-grown limbs. It becomes evident that more research will be needed to finalize the product. Regardless, Connors actually heads home early, slightly disappointed that his research is still unfinished but the reception he receives from his wife eases the disappointment. She’s happy, smiling, and just glad that he made it home early. Just in time for their son’s elementary team basketball game.

Peter returns to his and Mary Jane’s apartment to find her reciting lines in front of a mirror. She tells him that a production company bought Harry’s play and offered her a part. Peter tells her that’s great when there is a crackle of static from the police scanner. Peter suits up and swings out into the New York night. Following the call he finds that there was a break out at the prison. A crazy man with shockwave blasters uses them against the cops and busts down the northwest wall of the prison. Spider-Man and Stacy manage to apprehend him before setting out after the thugs set loose by the Shocker.

Peter returns early the next morning tired from the long night to find a note from Mary Jane stuck to the fridge saying she got a part in the play. After breakfast and several cups of coffee, Peter leaves for classes. More tests are run and what Connors believes to be a finalized product is developed. He congratulates the students who aided and dismisses them for the day. Gwen asks Peter what he’s doing later; he tells her he’s going to the new production at the theatre.
After the play, they go for a walk in the park where Mary Jane tells Peter about the play hitting the road, and how they want her to go with them on the country-wide production. Peter nods and tells her he’s notice she’s been acting differently lately. He asks if it had anything to do with “that thing” (meaning the symbiote). She reluctantly tells him that yes, its had her worrying and wondering what would happen if something else happened to Peter…would he accidently use his powers in the wrong way…would he accidentally hurt someone he loves…Peter nods and tells her he’s had similar thoughts. He then tells her that he loves her, and if she would feel safer away from him, then he wouldn’t hold it against her. They share a hug under the moonlight and she thanks him. He wishes her luck in life. They kiss.

Suddenly something bursts from the foliage nearby. Peter pushes Mary Jane out of its way and tells her to run. He rips off his clothes, revealing his Spider-Suit beneath it. He pulls on the mask and leaps into a tree to search for whatever had followed them. His Spider-Sense goes off and he sees a rustling in the bushes nearby, following the progress of another couple. Peter nods at the rustling and tells Mary Jane she might want to get out there. He pulls off his shirt and pants to reveal his Spider-Suit, dons the mask, and stealthily approaches the thing following the couple. His Spider-Sense alerts him that it’s preparing to pounce. At the exact moment that the watcher makes its move, Spider-Man makes his. He collides with a large, reptilian monster. The Lizard. The couple runs off screaming as Spider-Man tussles with the Lizard. The fight ends with Spider-Man getting hurled into a tree and the Lizard fleeing. Spider-Man pursues the beast to a manhole and decides against tailing it. Instead he swings by the NYPD and waits.

When Captain Stacy leaves for the night, Spider-Man confronts him and asks him about any reports of animal attacks. Stacy shakes his head no. They’re still searching for the Shocker. Spider-Man swings back to the apartment to find Mary Jane’s bags packed and her asleep.

The next day, Connors isn’t in class. Gwen mentions that her father got some interesting reports early that morning about partially devoured sewage plant workers and a couple of joggers. Peter stops by the Connors house hold. Mrs. Connors asks Peter if he’s heard anything, anything at all about Curt. He tells her no. He was wondering why the doctor didn’t show up for the day’s lecture. The Connors child, Billy, tells Peter that he saw daddy outside that past night. Peter asks about that. Mrs. Connors tells him that Billy woke her up saying daddy was outside. She checked and saw no one. Figure Billy was dreaming.

That night Mary Jane leaves. After Peter sees her off, he swings by the Connors house and perches in a tree in the backyard. Soon the Lizard ambles into the yard. Spider-Man watches in silence as the Lizard sits before Billy’s window, watching his son with what appears to be some measure of intelligence. Afterward the Lizard leaves and Spider-Man follows him into the sewers. Suddenly the darkness is flooded with lights: the police lead by Captain Stacy has set up a trap to catch the Lizard. Lizard panics and begins tearing into the ranks of officers. Spider-Man must protect the Lizard from the officers, and the officer from the Lizard. Lizard manages to escape; Spider-Man follows him. Eventually they lose the police. Spider-Man follows the beast to a lair of sorts. The Lizard then turns and takes another way out of the sewers, leading back to the Connors house. There he smashes into the house and abducts Billy. The NYPD arrive, but by that time Billy is gone and Martha Connors is seriously wounded. Spider-Man returns to his apartment.

Peter makes plans to collect a sample of Connors’s skin and blood. He then suits up and heads back into the sewers, where he finds Billy left alone and sleeping. He hears a splashing down the tunnels and hides. Lizard returns with a dead fish and lays it beside Billy. Then Spider-Man makes his move. He gets his sample and flees. Later that day in the lab he manages to concoct an antidote to the serum Connors took. He returns to the sewers and fights Lizard a final time, administering the serum. The Lizard becomes Connors who doesn’t seem to remember a thing. He tells Connors about the transformation, about attacking his wife, about abducting his son.

MOAR TO COME!
It's great, Alligator. There's just one problem: Harry's play fell in the fire during Peter and Harry's fight in the Osborn mansion.

I'd set the series about 10 years ahead of where it is now. Peter is now in his 30's and a veteran superhero. Could even have him as a school teacher. Maybe then we won't have to see Tobey's constant crying.

I personally want to see the Six Arms Saga.
Imagine what reaction would Peter face from Mary Jane, Aunt May and the people.
His secret identity would be spoiled.
The ones he loves would be in danger.
Lots of possibilities.

I thought that a while ago... have spiderman take a serum to remove his spider powers or reverse some growing mutation, instead it makes him sprout 4 extra arms. Say it causes fluxuations in the dormant spider genes in his blood.

It doesnt need to be a major part of the plot, he should have six arms for only a half hour of the movie at most.

The first book was 'amazing fantasy' and spidey was made in the 60s... the movies need psychadelic, tripped out, wild crazy ****... portrayed as a real world situation.

Excelsior

I dunno. They should learn a lesson or two after watching the action sequences in Transformers. Heck, why not put Spidey through some real sh**!! Have him use his abilities to their utmost. Do some real damage fighting a villain. I would put Shocker in the next one & forget about the Lizard.
:ikyn

^ Doesn't make sense. Each action movie should have their distinct fighting sequences.

Transformers - blowing crap up

Batman - hand-to-hand combat

Spider-Man - agility and endurance is where it's at, Spider-Man 2 did the most with that, the other movies did not

Superman - apparently he doesn't do ****, haha...had to say that.

But, Venom, he had the chance to push Spider-Man further with his abilities, but the fight between the two was very weak, and instead they used a slow gigantic sand monster...which did nothing except use money for special effects which could've gone to Venom...and the same for the boring-as-hell crane scene.

You know, it's funny, I always wondered how Peter Parker (a young science nerd with very little money and seemingly no real experience in sewing or clothing design) could create such a slim-fitting, elaborate costume.

LOL... and I have flashbacks to the great Organics vs. Mech's debate of 2002.

Ahhh... to dream of Man-Spider's too.

Mechanical webshooters should have been used, it would have added to the science fiction element.

But Im not expecting to see that... a utility belt would be cool though, with the spot light and spider tracers. Nowadays you can get tracking devices the size of a coin and every body has access to gps technology.

Based on what I know from the cartoons, a few comics and a set of cards, Parker did wear a belt under his suit where he stored his web-cartidges. He also stored his spidertraces there and on the buckle was a spotlight that sometimes projected the image of his mask- dubbed the 'spider-signal'. On the back of a card I have, spiderman jokes about perhaps convincing police to shine this into the sky when he's needed. (obvious nod to batman)

A good scene I remember from the cartoon was when Spidey encountered a thug with a freezing weapon in an alley. He switched on his light and swung around a corner, projecting the light back into the previous alley. The thug steps around the corner expecting to see spiderman at the source of the light, instead seeing the light hanging from a web before being ambushed.

I also remember that on the 90s cartoon, spidey used a small hand held reciever to locate the tracers he planted. He stored this on his belt. But in some of the comics he could detect them using only his spider-sense.

He has the spider-signal in the "Spectacular Spider-Man" cartoon as well. He used it to blind Doc Ock in last week's episode.

(I just felt bored, and I still am suffering from spidey fever, so I decided to go ahead and try my hand at writing a spider-man 4 script. I have a lot of it outlined in my head, and basically the main villains are Kraven, Lizard, Alistor Smythe and the spider slayers, and Venom. The movie takes place about a year and a half after the events of the third movie. Pete is still dealing with Harry's loss and MJ leaving for 6 months for a gig over @ LA. The central theme I'm working around with is using our gifts to it's utmost potential. Pretty much, since there's so many villains in the script, I wanted to show spidey more as a cunning warrior, and how he uses his wits to fool his hunters. So here's the first two pages (it's a bit comedic right now, with a special appearance by one of spidey's lamest villains :oldrazz: )

TITLE CREDITS:

WEB OF SPIDER-MAN

ZOOM OUT: EXT: ALLEY – NIGHT

We transition into a small spider web. As the camera zooms out more, we see that there is a camera attached to this spider-web.

PETER (V.O.)
Tonight’s just like any other night for your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But for me, Peter Parker, I’m still dealing with many things. I’ve learned how to accept the responsibility that has been given to me, heck, I’ve even learned how to accept the downsides of it. But between M.J. leaving for LA for 6 months and living with Harry’s loss, I guess that I need to put my sorrows on the sideline for a bit and try to enjoy the finer things in life, such as bringing sleazeball bank robbers down in order to catch a good picture.

The camera flashes and we transition into spider-man’s fist hitting the face of a masked thug. The masked thug is knocked down silly.

SPIDER-MAN
Yeesh, that’s gonna sting.

The Thug gets back up, a bit dazed, but ready to put on a fight.

THUG
You think that stings, try this on for size web head.

The thug appears to be wearing high tech looking gloves. Electrical energy is produced from the fingertips of the gloves, and the thug emits this electrical energy directly at Spider-Man. Spidey is knocked down hard.

SPIDER-MAN
Hey, didn’t mom ever tell you not to play with weapons?

THUG
Nope, my mom never loved me at all, oh well.

Spider-Man lunges towards the thug to try and get a hit in. The thug once again shocks Spider-Man with his gloves. Spider-Man starts to feel a bit paralyzed from the power of the electrical shocks

SPIDER-MAN
JEEZ MAN!!!! YOU KNOW WHAT, WHATEVER CHILDHOOD PROBLEMS YOU HAD BACK THEN, PLEASE DON’T TAKE IT OUT ON A CHUMP LIKE ME!

THUG
Oh, a smartass eh’? Well get a load of this, courtesy of Mr. Allister Smythe, us small times for a nice decent fee are getting our grubby little hands on the most advanced military weaponry our country has to offer. You know what that means?

SPIDER-MAN
Apparently Santa thought the naughty list was irrelevant to you kids this year and went ahead and gave all you JoBlos a shiny new toy for Christmas.

THUG
Not exactly, this means that even a has-been like me can dispose of a super-powered freak like you.

SPIDER-MAN
Freak, don’t you think that’s a little harsh?

The thug shocks spider-man a third time, leaving spider-man very vulnerable at this moment.

THUG (cont’d)
This is the last time you’ll stop a thug like me from robbing a bank Spider-Man, any last words before I turn you into a bowl of ash?

The thug starts to charge up his fingers for a more powerful blast.

SPIDER-MAN
I got a few, but I must warn you, it may come off as a little shocking.

As the thug releases the energy, spider-man uses his quick reflexes to web the thug’s fists, trapping the electrical energy within. The energy shocks the thug, leaving the thug and his high tech gloves disabled.

THUG
You meandering pest! The gloves cost me my life savings you punk! Didn’t it ever occur to you that I was robbing banks for a specific reason?

SPIDER-MAN
Science experiment, dying daughter, I’ve heard a lotta good ones, but for gloves that look like something you might see at a bargain bin over at a comic book convention, sorry bud, it just doesn’t take the cake.

spider-man webs up the thug, and carries him over the shoulder

THUG
Can’t you give a guy a break?

SPIDER-MAN
Hmmm, that sounds familiar; think I heard that one before. But, no man, I can’t, not in the best interest of the public, yadda yadda yadda, too bad, so sad.

IN THE ARMORED TRUCK

THUG
How about if I both have a dying family member and a science experiment on the horizon, will you try and reconsider?

EXT. BANK – NIGHT

The armored truck carrying the thug drives off into the night. We see Spider-Man with Captain Stacy and a fellow police officer.

SPIDER-MAN
Just hold on to that thought shockie, see ya in about three years, I think.

i like it, but it doesnt fit tobeys spidey

I think the shockers gloves are 'sound' weapons and not electrical.

I like the idea of smythe being introduced... supplying weapons to thugs through a crime lord. And your the only other person I've heard say they'd like the spider slayers.

Here's an idea of mine...
After spidey foils one too many organized heists (maybe one involving the shocker), crimelords start realizing they need to target spidey directly, if they want to avoid his interference. We see a group of wealthy mob types conspiring, silvermaine, hammerhead, Owl (Id say kingpin but his in daredevil already) adrian toomes maybe...all talking about the spider problem.
One of them speaks up about a guy they have in europe... a supersoldier. Some criminal strongman who had been treated with experimental strength/muscle enhancing chemicals. And was later sealed in a permanent hide-like super-armour... maybe this guy has what it takes to beat spiderman. and enter.... the RHINO.

After Rhino is somehow defeated... the crimelords turn to one of their underlings, alistor smythe. A genius in the field of robotics and weapon designer (perhaps responsible for the shockers gloves). Anyway they exploit what ever power they have over him and have him build a machine to finish the rhino's job. enter... The first spider-slayer.

Id love to see a modern version of this concept... they could use any design they want. The mega-slayer was a giant human shaped robot that could fly... but I'd go for an in-human design that looks atleast in small part, spider-like.

This machines designed specifically for targetting and destroying/capturing spiderman, with all his strengths and weaknesses in mind. Something like a sentinel from the matrix is what I imagine.

Wow, I can't believe I read all that! That is great!!! A lot of short appearances of villains means it's fun but you don't have too many main villains that mess up the story! The story was great btw, I like how Spider-Man teamed up with Captain Stacey! The bit in the sewers would be great, it could be really dark with a few flickering lights to make it all scary!
