I think secondary mutations are lame so I wouldnt have him have one.

It really makes me angry when Bobbys hair goes away when he ices up.

I don't mind the chrome dome look personally.

There's no reason for a guy like Iceman with cool powers that can be used in so many different ways to have a secondary mutation. It works with characters like Angel and Emma though.

It would only distract from his unique powers.

Im only annoyed because its completely illogical to have his hair go away when all he does is turn his body to ice. Where does his hair go?

Maybe his hair is covered with by the dome of dense is because he wanted to go back to that bold look instead of shaping the ice to fit his hair

He doesnt just cover himself in ice. He becomes organic(living) ice. So he shouldn't have to shape it around himself

He was blown up in ice form(see how his insides are ice also) and when he goes back to human form he is un-injured

Seriously the guy should be able to punch with the force a an ice glasier (Sp) and I'm talking the ice gae kinds that cut shapes into the world.

I wonder if it would be possible for him to think of any given person in a different location, and freeze or project any of his abilities on them with his thoughts. And although he does radiate cold, I was wondering on a cryokinetic level, he'd be able to do that...

And while we're on that subject of his amazing abilities, I wonder if:

1) He had the ability to cool the earths core.
2) How long it would take for him to create the next ice age on the planet.
3) Detect and freeze a select few (human) targets in a crowd of thousands.
4) He could create single celled life forms.

cooling the earth's core. thats a little too much. and single celled life forms? cytokinesis and cryokinesis are 2 different things unless u are refering to the ability to animate his own ice statue.

Cryokinesis is what I meant, not Cryokinetics.

As for cooling the earth's core, why is that so far fetched? If 2/3's of the earth's surface is covered by water, why would it be impossible for him to crack the surface, by driving a glacier wedge deep into the earth, and cool it in layers?

If he has the ability to manipulate all forms of moisture, why would creating life (with the right ingredients and conditions) be out of the question? After all, water is a universal and fundamental life-giving substance. Besides, I never said he could do it alone..... That's what buddies are for... Like Hank, to guide and encourage him in the right direction.

He already animated a clone of himself at the end of Zero Tolerance.

Anyway, in a issue of Uncanny X-men where Polaris gets anrgy and starts destroying everything, Scott says "Bobby now! Theirs no metal in water!". Then Polair s says "No metal in water? Their trace metals in everything". Then she smashed the ice. I took one look at that and literally slammed the book because it is reiduclous how overrated they try to make someone when they get angry.

I can understand there are minerals within water (that make up metals), but enough to disable Iceman's abilities? If that was the case, he could have dispelled the minerals from the ice he created.

Besides that, I have another HUGE problem with that scene:

Iceman creates ice out of the moisture from the surrounding air right?

How the bloody hell does metal float around in the air?

Despite all my ice love I'm not sure that I want Iceman to get too much more powerful than the other X-Men. We don't want a phoenix situation where the team becomes unbalanced and the powers of the other team members become relatively insignificant.

Think of the publicity and respect he'd get from non-fans and his peers...

Although there will still be a joker out there that still thinks Emma Frost is still currently posessing his body, and that he hasn't been able to figure out how to turn his body into organic ice....

The insane powers would be more effective if he went solo for an extended period and went up aginst some heavy hitters. The team thing doesn't work as well when any one member is too powerful. Maybe he should go through a darker period where he uses his powers a bit more aggressively.

That would be awesome. Hope someone does something like that eventually.

And we all know how that turned out to be.... The Foe Dog show... Featuring Iceman, as his trusty sidekick.

Although I do agree with you on having him do a little more soul searching on his own. Maybe somwhere very humid, cold, or frozen. I was a bit disappointed that Rogue's solo book looked a lot better than his. In terms of art style, and story.... Oh well... Maybe in the next 10 years, he'll get another chance of his own title again.
