I can understand there are minerals within water (that make up metals), but enough to disable Iceman's abilities? If that was the case, he could have dispelled the minerals from the ice he created.

Besides that, I have another HUGE problem with that scene:

Iceman creates ice out of the moisture from the surrounding air right?

How the bloody hell does metal float around in the air?

maybe. but do u mean attitude wise, apperance or what? iceman needs to develop more as a character. and he needs to get over polaris.

The whole problem with him still being in love with Polaris is a big jip. Right after Havok called off the wedding with her, she started to get a lot more flirty with Iceman, and suggested they do the "hokey pokey" again... They even show signs of getting back together right after they loose their powers. Then all of a sudden when he regains his powers, she needs time away from everyone, flat out rejects Bobby, and runs off with Havok.

Milligan just doesn't know what the hell he's doing. Besides, when your woman can control your ice abilities by manipulating the metals inside the water molecules (yeah, right... ), then it's time to find another woman. Or someone less wishy-washy (no pun intended).

If you must know:

It really doesn't seem like anything is happening between them in this issue. Although they do share a moment alone, where after reforming himself from the explosion in the last issue, he starts having trouble breathing. She then takes him into her arms, like on the cover, and gives him mouth to mouth to try and revive him. She then makes a comment that it's a pity no one was around to witness her doing this for him, and he eventually comes through, although he's weakened.

Overall, you really don't get a sense of them getting flirtatious with each other, but you never know... It could happen in the next issue, or somewhere down the line. It might even be with Lady Mastermind, or someone else. The Mystique thing might be a decoy.

And contrary to what some people think, I don't believe he's bi-sexual. Because I'd have a very hard time believing he'd go for Northstar after that whole "death is like a slingshot rock" thing.

...After all, would you date someone that just tried to kill you?

Oh, and yes his hair is still blonde.

"Liked" is such an understatement.... I LOVED him!!! I chose the AoA look most of the game.

I loved the "Ice Sidekick" move, and the other one where the ice spikes come up from the ground. That move really comes in handy when you have multiple enemies, or one of those mini bosses.
