Oh yeah...anyone know how well Incredible is selling against Poochie? From what little I've "red" of the other book, the quality seems like comparing s**t to shinola. Anyway...back to your regularly-scheduled bannertech. *now with 10% more beer & funions! lol

Poochie's still outselling it. Not by as much as I expected, though. Poochie's in the teens or 20s now, The Incredible Hulk's first couple issues have been about 10 spots behind it.

The problem is Poochie is the only one offerred on subscription whereas I subscribed thinking I would see the Hulk.

I was looking at ICv2's sales numbers, which I don't think include subscriptions. People just like Poochie because comic readers mostly like s***.

Not that I'm bitter. :awesome:

Yeah thanks for the link.

They are closer than I thought...still can't believe Poochie's ahead though..ugh!! :cmad:

who's Poochie? If you don't mind me asking.
Also is Planet Hulk the first issue following the series(WWH..etc)?
Or is there another story in that arc before planet Hulk?
Don't know which to buy first. Help pls!

Hey Hulkster

Poochie is the Red Hulk. The one who absorbed the Gamma From Banners Body. And his Idenity is still unknown

Before Planet Hulk you could read The New Avengers: Illuminati where the plan is set in motion. To send Hulk away

Also TIH 88-91. I don't want to spoil you deal with the events as to why Hulk was in space in the first place.

After that you can go into Planet Hulk and then WWH

"Poochie" is a ridiculous nickname for Red Hulk. Not sure how it got started.
PH is right before WWH. PH is about Bruce's time on Sakaar.

It started because Obi-Ron remembered an episode of The Simpsons where the producers of The Itchy & Scratchy Show decided to introduce a new, "cool" character called Poochie to steal Itchy and Scratchy's thunder and give the show a ratings boost. A pure, unadulterated shock value stunt, basically. Same as the red Hulk.

Which, btw, I feel was a PERFECT nickname for 'em. (Plus I actually GOT the reference for once! :awesome:)

So, it's either poochie or craposaurus rex...either works for me! :hehe:

''Jeff Parker Sets The Hulks For A "Fall"

http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=23672

To help forge the core of the super-criminal crew, Parker sets them on a series of jobs that should both tease out how the dominoes will tumble in "Fall of the Hulks" as well as shine a light on Marvel history. "At this point, what they're doing is essentially pulling off super heists and accumulating lost knowledge from the lost library of Alexandria. They bust into Olympia – the citadel in Antarctica where the Eternals are – because a lot of it's there. And they've got other places in the world that are really hard to break into, like Atlantis and Wakanda. They've got to go in and find all this stuff and pull it off without anybody knowing they're doing it. For once, they're trying to keep their egos in check and not make such a big deal that they're getting it. They're replacing what they steal with copies, so it's not as obvious what they're after. You can kind of get behind the scheme, because they're really starting to try and make it happen and not worry about how cool they look."

The Intelligentsia has earned comparisons from its creators to other Marvel secret sects, like the semi-benevolent Illuminati and the currently set to crumble Cabal, and Parker promised that, much like those other groups, this mad scientist team-up will find its roots in past stories. "We, also, along the way, make references to things that were going on in Marvel history. They poke their invisible hands into things, and we play a little bit with the kinds of things 'The Illuminati' did, but I don't think we actually contradict the way anyone thinks things went down. We don't re-write history, but we do add to it in interesting ways," he said, noting that events such as sudden resurrections and and the history of the villain community will be explored.
Just like Marvel's other marquee gatherings, however, keeping together a group of super-ego maniacs has its downsides too. First and foremost, its members each see themselves as the primary plan-maker.

"Everybody's got their own agenda, and they're all thinking, 'Okay, once this is over, we'll get back to the real goal...which is mine!'" Parker explained. "The Leader organized this, and they're all very careful to not say, 'Listen to me.' As soon as anyone says that, the whole place erupts. Lasers start flying everywhere, and it all falls apart. Even though they're all complete ego maniacs, they also understand that it works better to speak about the task at hand and not talk about themselves. They're giving it the real college try here. They're tired of the heroes being able to constantly team up against them, and they're seeing what they can achieve together, which is a lot."

Is that Quicksand beating Rulk? How can he lose to someone like that but beat Thor, a Watcher and every hero he's come across? That makes no sense!

Me neither, sticking him with Loeb seems like a losing proposition.

Thanks everyone! I'm a new fan that's why. :D
P.S. and most of the comics are not available where I live in, so I'll get my hands on as much as I can. Hopefully though I can complete the arc or better yet buy them online.
