Well, Gladiator is good now, so the balance goes that Thor gets beaten up by enemies he normally is victorious or at least effective against.

Eh, he hasn't been effective against the Hulk since the '80s or so. I don't even care anymore; it's just disappointing that their once-fun rivalry has become so incredibly boring now because you always know the Hulk's going to win.

I 'unno. I always felt he held his own in the 90's, too.

I really wouldn't mind though, if that level of power was held against all the other heroes. You know, like Wolverine being devastated by a single blow from the Hulk, because the Hulk is apparently -that- powerful.

Well i was really impressed with Planet Hulk and with "Corp's recommendation" i finally checked out World War Hulk! Yeah i'm aware Miek in the movie never transformed to the big badass he is in WWH comic.

Man this was brutal! The second most brutal comic i've seen JrJr draw! The action just EXPLODES from panel to panel! Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Black Panther, Spider-Man... Man it was just fistful of action! My only small nitpick was how each issue kinda just builded up for the Sentry fight, but the gladiator ring idea from Hulk was downright cruel and brilliantly done to get some revenge.

So yeah i enjoyed WWH GN. Even tho 24 bucks for 5 issues seems like a ripoff. Oh and i loved Finch's covers! The art really justifies the price.

You still have it better with Thor than I've with Venom currently.

I do agree that if Hulk can easily hold up to Thor, then its only sensible he'd be able to easily overpower everyone else. Yet when going up against Wolverine, the Abomination, etc, the fights are always intense and close.

Just over $23 on Amazon right now. It seems pricey, but it's well worth it because it's both huge (it was a long arc) and a fantastic story.

Just read Hulk: Let the Battle Begin and wanted to tell you guys about it. It's basically Banner walking us through a cycle of recovering from a Hulk episode, then going through it again.

In general the issue was fanastic (i thought anyways), EXCEPT for one thing that bugs me and will bug other THOR fans as well....

In this ish, Hulk flat out beats Thor. Even worse, while Thor's holding his hammer Hulk grabs it too and proceeds to repeatedly hit Thor in the face with it til Thor is out cold.

So, other than that grievous sin, it's a great ish

(Can't wait to hear Corp's reaction to that scene btw lol)

After the Hulk #5 fiasco (and the uproar that followed), I find it tough to believe Marvel would settle this classic rivalry for good and in a casual one-shot no less.
