The official INCREDIBLE Hulk thread...........

Question.

Does anyone else think Hulk's other Son will come to Earth to fight his father?

Thanks for the spoiler. :yay:

Can't wait to read it. Can you tell us if the issue/fight itself is in continuity or not though?

After the Hulk #5 fiasco (and the uproar that followed), I find it tough to believe Marvel would settle this classic rivalry for good and in a casual one-shot no less.

Thanks again.

It's supposed to be in continuity I believe, but set back at one of the times when Banner was stuck with the savage hulk, and was kind of just wandering in his life. So at what point exactly it takes place is questionable.
As for settling the rivalry, this is just one example of the countless COUNTLESS times where editorial lets a creative write character(s) completely inconsistently power level wise.

Don't get me wrong, still a really fun issue, but it pisses me off when they don't bother writing characters consistently (which is the very definition of bad writing in any other form of written fiction, but which for some reason is just excused over and over in comic books).

To tell you the truth, nobody really gives a s**t about that guy, so, whether he shows up or not, meh's the word.

personally I think giving the Hulk any kids was a terrible idea. I'd much rather that Skaar didn't exist, let alone the other son, let alone that absolutely terrible daughter from the future/alternate dimension bullcrap whatever it is. The more gamma powered bruisers they introduce, the more it takes away from the Hulk himself (Abomination was fine, She-Hulk I even really like, then there's A-Bomb, Red Hulk, Red She-Hulk, powered up Doc Samson, the three aforementioned children, and I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting)

RH, I must say I agree. The Hulk is no longer unique in the marvel uiniverse and given how they were able to create Rulk, he is no more then anyone else who could get the same treatment.

I am hoping fall of the Hulks will lead to Hulk being by himself once again given I am hoping he does make it back.

Amen! Agreed 100%.
And like Ahura Mazda said above, it does kind of take the uniqueness away from the Hulk.

Naw, keep the kids. They don't take away the Hulk's uniqueness no more than we take away our own parents' "uniqueness". I always wondered why there are any more kids running around, even with the revised MU timeline...

Still, when the original Hulk returns, the series should focus on him, with the occasional appearance of other Hulk-related (by blood or not).

O.

I'd be fine with Banner (any of the rather good personas), Jen, and Skarr after this. Anyone else is too much in my opinion. Rulk to me hasn't added anything drastic to the mythos in the way Skarr has for me. She-rulk even less, and I just am super-plain-bored-why-oh-why-should-I-even-care in regards to Banner's redheaded daughter from the future. Thanks Marvel, you did the impossible and made me not interested in a red head.... :(

You know, with Loeb involved, I can't be sure if you're joking or not. :csad:

FALL OF THE HULKS CONCLUSION! Now allied with Banner and Skaar, the Red Hulk takes the battle back to the Intelligencia homebase…the last place anyone expected. With the future of the U.S. at stake, can the most dangerous Hulk triumph? Guest-starring the AVENGERS, the FF and the X-MEN…who are in for a shock ending you won’t see coming!

All he said was... "Poochie! You look like you have something to say! Do you?"

I think that's a handsomely appropriate man bag befitting such an abomination. :o Either way, I'm surprised they're still teasing (even a little bit) about who Rulk is.

Oh yea, hmm, that's not that far away. I'm still betting on the FF's mail man, good ol' Willie Lumpkin. :woot:
