That is such a B.S. excuse on Bendis' part. Rulk is in no need of redemption considering a majority of comic fans find him insufferable and he's just the biggest jerk in the Marvel universe. The fact that Tony or Thor would even let him in is unrealistic enough. Bruce Banner on the other would've been perfect. Considering the events of WWH, the clashes between Bruce and the Avengers and the reconciliation would've been a major highlight of this series and put the band back together the way it used to be, sans the Pyms and Steve. That's what the Heroic Age should be about: putting aside their difference to reach a common goal- to save mankind. Not give some giant ******* a shot of redemption he doesn't deserve because Marvel wants some shock value.

Ok, and? Does he have to be included in Avengers? The team has already filled its quota with unnecessary memebers like Wolverine and Spider-Man. Rulk can have his path to redemption, but does it have to start with Avengers?

What a crock. Rulk is a villian! Would Steve allow the Green Goblin or Abomination on the team because they want redemption? Hell, no. If anything, just put him on the Thunderbolts. Steve would make a smart decision in regards to letting someone like Rulk on the team. This may be a fictional world, but I doubt the writer would make that a scapegoat to allow dangerous decisions like that. Unless of course they want the shock value.

Excuse me, but I have my opinions. Jeff PArker can do as he pleases with the characters and if it's interesting, I'll take a peek. I'm just saying what I would've seen, which I think would've been more welcome that Rulk joining the team.

RULK IS A VILLAIN. Rulk can have his redemption I said, but it doesn't have to start with a team of superheroes. Any character can have his redemption, but considering all the horrible things Rulk's done, consciously, it's gonna take a lot more than putting him on the Avengers. I'm only saying this in the context of the Avengers line. They can do as they please with him on his line.
