Ok, and? Does he have to be included in Avengers? The team has already filled its quota with unnecessary memebers like Wolverine and Spider-Man. Rulk can have his path to redemption, but does it have to start with Avengers?

Yes this is an actual problem. We have to except some... Hopefully good writing why Rulk wouldn't be send to Thunderbolts. Sure Rulk is the strongest and smartest there is (:awesome::awesome::awesome: just kidding!), but yeah lets see how things go. It simply might be Rulk's raw power that makes Steve want Rulk to be utilized in the very front lines.

What a crock. Rulk is a villian! Would Steve allow the Green Goblin or Abomination on the team because they want redemption?

I'd say it depends on the situation.

Rulk can have his redemption I said, but it doesn't have to start with a team of superheroes.

You could say the same to Bucky Barnes. Especially since the American public will now start to hate him when all his murders leak out. Bucky is going to go thru public redemption as much as Rulk is to the heroes and citizens of America.

I really can't see Steve being too gung-ho about putting Rulk on the Avengers. They're supposed to be the public face of the US' superheroes. If anything, it seems more like Hill might retain some respect for Ross as a renowned army general and cut him a break herself, since she's actually in charge of the team.

So not the same thing it makes my eyes bleed. Public opinion aside, Bucky was brainwashed for decades; it took a Cosmic Cube to set his mind straight again. Ross was perfectly in control of his actions, he was just obsessed with hunting his green whale for years. Nothing impeded his judgment. He's just the kind of man who would stoop to unbelievable lows to get what he wants again and again and again.

Why is 616-Thor fighting Ultimate Hulk?

or

Since when did Rulk have his own Gray Hulk persona? GRulk?

What a crock. Rulk is a villian! Would Steve allow the Green Goblin or Abomination on the team because they want redemption? Hell, no. If anything, just put him on the Thunderbolts. Steve would make a smart decision in regards to letting someone like Rulk on the team. This may be a fictional world, but I doubt the writer would make that a scapegoat to allow dangerous decisions like that. Unless of course they want the shock value.

Technically, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were also bad guys.

Same thing with Ares as well.

Yeah, Thunderbolts would be a good spot for him, but maybe Steve is looking at how they've consistently crapped on the Hulk and sees it as an opportunity to make things right. Surrounding Rulk with bad guys that he could manipulate would be a bad thing, putting him where Thor and Iron Man can keep watch on him, is better.

Of course, in all likelihood, there'll be some hidden backstory where Steve, Bucky and Ross served together or at least have some people in common.

RULK IS A VILLAIN. Rulk can have his redemption I said, but it doesn't have to start with a team of superheroes. Any character can have his redemption, but considering all the horrible things Rulk's done, consciously, it's gonna take a lot more than putting him on the Avengers. I'm only saying this in the context of the Avengers line. They can do as they please with him on his line.

Technically, he'd be an anti-hero. If you're using the Abomination's death as reasoning, then a lot more heroes would be classified as villains. Yes, he drew up the plans for the Intelligencia, but he also stopped short of committing to it and made efforts to stop them. Presumably, based on his actions in the comic, Steve realizes it's not a black and white issue and would rather steer him towards good than risk losing him to the bad guys again.

Either way, I personally have no issue with it. I can see where some could, but really, if Wolverine is in and some of the other past Avengers, Rulk can join too.

How does employing the Hulk's worst enemy "make things right" with him?

I think the only way I could be cool with Rulk on the Avengers is if either Tony or Hill go behind Steve's back and induct Rulk into the Avengers for whatever stupid reasons they might have. Steve would probably back off and let them do their thing with a stern warning.

Awesome details:
-Sword (takes skill to use)
-Utility belt (gadgets, communication devices, takes intelligence to use)
-Non ripped shorts, look custom made

I'd say we've got an intelligent hulk back boys and girls! :woot:

I can agree to this. I'm done discussing RUlk in the Avengers. No use crying over spilled milk, especially milk I won't be drinking after issue 6.

That TIH cover on the other hand is :awesome::awesome::awesome:

Worst enemy? Did the last 40 years of comics not happen?

As I see it:

Abomination (murdered his wife) -> Leader (worked with him before, saved him) -> etc

Ross is hardly his worst enemy, especially since the two managed to work together recently.

It's possible Hill does it, but I can't see Ross doing it unless Steve tells him. In fact, I'm pretty sure I remember a solicit saying just that.

Either way, Marvel's heroes are generally too proud to approach someone like the Hulk (or scared) and say, "We were wrong" And since he's tangled with Banner before, keeping an eye on Ross keeps him out of Banner's hair, so in a way they are doing him a favor.

Well, I'm not gonna quibble over who's the Hulk's worst enemy. Ross hunted him for a lot of those decades, so he's at least up there. That's besides the point anyway. It just seems a bit ridiculous for Steve to suddenly decide, "Hey, Ross has been trying to kill the Hulk and anyone who gets in his way for a pretty long time now. I think I ought to reward him by placing him on the team that is literally the public face of my entire superhero protection initiative." If he's buying into the idea that Ross is earnestly seeking redemption, the Thunderbolts would be the place for him. Putting him on the Avengers just doesn't make sense to me.

But then again, Crossbones looking for redemption on the Thunderbolts didn't make sense to me either. Parker made it work by revealing he wasn't looking for redemption, he was forced onto the team as a means of rallying the less morally bankrupt members toward Luke Cage by putting them alongside an irredeemable cautionary tale. Maybe Bendis has a similar loophole idea that'll make Ross' inclusion on the team make sense.

Rulk: Let's fight!
Hulk: Why? Our conflict has been resolved.
Loeb: Do it or I'll make a yellow version next...
Hulk: Ok, let's fight!

I'd love to see a Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Violet, and Pink Hulk.

The Hulk Lantern Corps. :o
