I know he can't be around all the time in places where people need to be saved, that is why I suggested that he would be around when he can so he can save people and defeat bad guys. :cwink::word:

So in other words, you dont really care that he put everyone who knows him in danger :cwink:

one thing i didn't like about this movie was the villian. Comic book movies have a bad habit of making the villians lame Green Goblin, Sandman, Dr. Doom, Kingpin and Bullseye, the Hulk's dad in Hulk and now Obadiah Stane. The good villians are Doc Ock, Scarecrow and Magneto and i'm pretty sure Heath Ledger's Joker will join the list of best villians!

I thought the villian was okay. I hated that whats his name back stabbed Tony and now he's dead, thanks to 'Iron Man'. :)

Wow do I completely disagree with you on the "lame" villains you listed. I liked the Goblin much more than Ock and Bullseye was a fantastic villain.

Ehhh, wrong. No I do care,Stark not saving people= meaningless motive to be Iron Man/being unable to see him kick bad guys butts in the Iron Man movies.

I agree,Green Goblin was better than Oc,much better IMO. Yes,I am saying that even though I still really dislike the look of his(Green Goblin) movie costume.

Generally, I think the only person Tony has to worry about is Pepper Potts. She knows he's Iron Man and when you think about it, the enemies Stark will eventually make will wish want him to be wiped off from the face of the earth, they'll choose Ms Potts as their target to get through Tony.

Thats how I see it. Unless Tony moves his resisdence elsewhere or something.

Well of course,he is pretty attached to Potts. She is the most important. The good thing is,not all the bad guys would seem to care
that they can use Potts to their advantage to get what they want and/or require.
:o:yay:

I thought the wink smiley made it pretty clear i was joking!

Either way though, Tony has put all of his friends and employees in danger.

and regardless of how much he cares about Potts, either way, one way or another, Tony will face that challenge when it comes to protecting her. Without her, he wouldn't be the same and he'll feel bad that he put her through this.

and I was under the impression that Starks works for himself... I dunno probably cause he spent most of his time at his mansion where he was building the suit and testing it out. Now that he made his own invention, does he need Stark Enterprises?

He doesn't have a whole lot of friends, except for uh that friend of his, I forget his name.

i bet that in the first 10 minutes of the sequel they will say that tony is not iron man and that he was drunk.

Favreau says otherwise on the front page. They want Iron Man's identity to become a cultural phenomenon within the movie universe.

so how many deleted scenes are there?i only remember the one where the scans hes body.

I think Stark could do fine IN TERMS OF MAKING THINGS if he didn't have Stark Enterprise, but to a degree. He would still need certain stuff from it. :o

Loved it but i did not like the final fight i thought i was very weak but that aside 10/10

Well he could easily take the stuff he needs and SE would be no more... but on the other hand, the U.S Military wouldn't want that.

i dont like that the suit was build in 5 hours. and with gold and titanium?

Even though I grew up reading Spider-Man and X-men. I wasn't expecting to have such a great time watching this fantastic superhero on the big screen. Marvelous movie!! loved it!!

Loved how they showed lots of bits of Stark's technology throughout the movie. Seeing Iron Man on the big screen looking so menacing and imposing was a delight to the eye. It made RoboCop look like his grandpa :)

I had to see it a second time because the first time my appreciation for the movie was ruined due to projection issues (blurred images). What a great balanced story this was.

Great Stark impersonation from RDJ. He even walked like Iron Man when not wearing the armor :D

10/10

Its a comic book movie, there are going to be moments where you have to suspend disbelief, after all he built the Mark1 and an arch reactor for his heart in 3 months. Thats a big stretch but you just have to move on and enjoy the movie. The mark 3 being built in 5hrs didn't bother me, I just assumed its all being machine built and some how he already had the resources. It wasn't crucial to the story how he got it.

Plus is wasnt as bad as spiderman, one scene he is running around broke in sweats to wrestle, next scene its him in an elaborate spidey suit with no explanation how he got it or made it.

It was good, but really? A film of this quality and THAT is the best line?

For the first time in a superhero film, a genius' intellect has been acknowledged and respected on screen.

nothing from spidey
nothing from norman
nothing from octavius
nothing from reed richards
tiny snippet from doom

yeah, it was that good and it was delivered with the envious intent any true business rival would show.

By far the best line.

Had to go with the 10 rating. Tried really hard to find something wrong with this movie but could not. The comedy had just the right touches in the right places, the story flowed at a good pace and the action was what this old comic fan boy loves to see. I am a comic fan in general from way back with allegiances to none. Favor Marvel but love DC also. Hope The Dark Knight can come close to leaving me the way I felt when I left the theater last weekend. Bring on "Thor" , Bring on "Captain America" , Bring On "The "Avengers"!!! And DAMN, DC, Get off your ars'es and give me Green Lantern and Flash and a GOOD superman movie. I'm not getting any younger waiting for ya.

avitwithjamon is just bitter because people like ironman more than sr lol

its just a little nitpic IMO. we could explain it. but to make material in the shape of a huuman body and then all the tech stuff and then it all together in 5 hours was a little MEH. but nothing wrong. the movie was 100% fun and it deserves all the money.
