Well, good luck with that! I hope you get that call soon. Not only would that be great for you but also for us. Then you could confirm that they're doing a new series for sure. hehe.

You would tell us right? You wouldn't keep it a secret now would you?...

as long as they don't tell me absolutly not to.
other wise, their are always ways to pass along the good news.
(wink, wink. nod, nod. know what i mean?)

i got a thought all you fans
might be interested in.
anyone want to commision a
piece of original art?
finished ink-$40.00 a head shot. $150.00 full body. $250.00 two character shot.
painted- $100.00 a head shot. $250.00 full body. $400.00 two character shot.
(plus $5.00 for shipping and handling.)
just a thought. let me know and i'll figure out contacts if there is any interest.

jarv

oooo....youve gained my interest dude :D
im getting into buying original art. im certainly interested.
what materials do you use for the paintings? do you use a canvas or i guess something smaller? how large is it?
i commisioned a friend of mine to paint this monster:

the sucker is 60" x 28"! i swear the eyes follow you when you move around the room....heh

full figure stuff would be
typical comic board size. ( 11 x 17 )
head shots 1/2 ( 8 1/2 x 11 )
what do you think?

Since you're here, i'm curious, Javier what inspired that Ghost Rider redesign? It's very cool. I never would've thought of GR with sword, but it works. He's like part outlaw, part samurai or something.

Javier, I'm definatly interested in getting one of those orignals from you. I'll just have to wait until after Christmas to do so. Money is tight these days, as everyone knows. I'll let you know, okay.

Javier,

If I were Mark Steven Johnson, you, Mike Ploog and Mark Texeira would all be involved in the Ghost Rider production in some way. Nothing against Berni Wrightson, Miles Teves, or any of the other talented artists who've contributed, but you three should've at least been called and offered the opportunity to come on-board.

Ploog, Saltares, Texeira - the Ghost Rider trifecta, IMO. The artists who've really contributed the most to the character over the years. To not have at least tracked you guys down and offered you work - just insane.

Insane indeed. Input of some kind on the design would have been quite logical. It's still in the very early stages yet though...

hey biggun,
can you e-mail me
on my private e-mail again?
my pc crashed and i lost it.
jarv

Jarv,
Ever get in touch with those production people? Ever hear back from Marvel? I'm dying to see you back on a Ghost Rider project...

I'm also curious about that original art you mentioned that you'd create for us. I have a few questions. Are these ones that you've created before or ones that you will create as we request them? Also, as for the payment, I'm Canadian and would have to do a little more to get the money to you. Would you like it in money order form or is a check in Canadian funds good enough? Of course, I will covert it the the correct American amount. I'm very intersted and would love to have an original piece of yours hangin' on my wall. Let me know... You can PM directly if you like.

Thanks!

hey flamehead,
no on the gr movie or marvel for that matter.
as for the other work, basically i am taking commisions
if your interested. just sent one to biggun, i think he's planning
on posting it so he can share it with you guys.
thanks for the interest btw.

That pic is so damn sweet. I'm gonna have to send you a PM and get the ball rollin' for me. Saving money to move to Vancouver or not, I gotta get me one of those great peiece of work. I'll be in touch Saltares.

thank you guys.
appreciate it.
just let me know.
you can get me here.

I'm glad to see new artwork from Mr. Saltares. I joined comics, and my favourite, Ghost Rider, right when he was drawing it. I always loved the anatomy of skulls, and he, along with Texeira, was one of the greatest specialist. And the way the orbits look.. damn, he could make Ghost changing expression by only changing prospective.
Or the body language/proportion, Ghost had weight, he was heavy, he moved like a golem/zombie/mechanical doll! It was amazing!
Excuse my OT, i just needed to manifest my admiration to this great artist.

what can i say but
thank you, thank you, thank you!
i think sometimes a freak thing happens
and a project and some artists come
together at the right time.
if anyone told me i could handle a
"horror" project i would have doubted
it big time. but i just feel in love with this
cool all power full monster who only wants to
do what we all wish we could. distribute alittle
long over due justice. "let's rock!"
i love it.
any way thanks again.

Hey you do some fantastic work. On the other side of the spectrum, if you ever see the dope who turned GR manga late in the Ketch series, please give him an atomic wedgie for me. :)

Ahh, don't be so hard on the artists. Everyone has their talents and while you may not have liked it, it was still well done.... probably not as well as it would have been if our man here Saltares stayed... but good none the less.

Wedgies hurt man.

hi guys,
just thought i would poke in and say hi.
also wanted to do a plug for my new graphic novel
coming out through alias.
david's mighty men
i know it's a big departure from gr but i thought i would mention it just incase
any might be interested.
jarv

cool!
will have to keep an eye out for it
when is the release date?

hi guys,
know it's been a while.
have some possible good news but don't want to jump the gun
just yet. will let you know here first once i find out and am given
the ok. for those who believe, pray. otherwise, crossing fingers might be good too.
thanks
jarv
