I think that'd be a bad idea coz a) that's why Vol. 2 failed initially and b) that's why Marvel has retconned (or retconning) the character.

Mephisto is a specific Marvel Universe character, whereas the devil, is, well, just that.

Yes and No. Hellboy did it with their God-like super villain so I assume it can be done with Ghost Rider, but the movie doesn't have to go in that direction...

In the Darkhold comics Cthon was not really described...we just know he was one f.*.cking evil God and he is something to be afraid of. What I meant with Cthon being the enemy in a Ghost Rider movie was really a reference to the Darkhold.

It would be great to see Ghost Rider have to defeat the succumbed mortals of the Darkhold and in the end have to fight the Demogorge (the Demon Killer who is Cthon's most powerful minion) itself with a violently magnificent epic struggle in the end... Spirit of Vengeance vs Spirit Killer

^Yeah it does sound good, but i'll admit, i'm not too familiar with the characters in question, so i cant comment too much on them.

BUT, i think we'll both agree, the sequel needs to be darker.

Already been done with Blackheart, don't see why not put Blackheart to good use.

If they had planned this for being an R-rated series, I'd have been all for Skinner. I can't see him working in PG-13.

the first had no soul.
was boring and stupid in some parts.
we can write a better script than MSJ's one.

Since many people say that we can write a better script than MSJ, maybe we... as a forum... should write, or rewrite... the Ghost Rider movie!
