The script I read definitely isn't translatable to pg-13. It's hard r all the way. So if it is pg-13 there must of been some whole sale changes to the script, which would be disappointing. It's honestly a brilliant script as is.

See, this worries me, a lot, I have heard from others the script is definately an R, if we do get a pg-13 version, I just hope the cuts arent like in a Fox movie were they are totally noticable.

no, the screenwriters recently said that the script is a more tamed down version of their latest draft..

Well hopefully they can keep the spirit and essence of the character right with pg 13 rating, and hopefully like i and others said they did film it more for R to have scenes includes for directors/unrated/R cut dvd-bluray releases.

Yeah, WB is never going to release another R-rated comic book movie.

I know that, i just hope for characters like hex/lobo for example were/are going to have scenes shot that could be considered R rating, and then just get edited a bit to make the pg 13 cut, but then release the more hardcore take on home video market.

LAME. Time for studios to grow a pair.

Look at 300.

WB's afraid of doing R-rated movies because of Watchmen's disappointing box-office. The rating had nothing to with that. It's that a lot of people were disappointed and it got bad word of the mouth.

Also I've never read The Losers before so I was wondering if the comics were R-rated material?

well i thought the film was done well, and looked good. i guess it was more due to it being a lesser known property.

Its stupid logic because look at 300. No its not a super hero movie. But its a lesser known comic property. It was R-rated. It was shot to look very much like the comic it was based. Just because of one movie doesn't mean it can't work more.

Watchmen was always a risky property. Its polarizing material. Its dark and edgy and its not nice. So, they gave Snyder everything he wanted and it didn't do huge business, but I mean something like Watchmen can't do 300 business.

Yep, it was Neveldine and Taylor, who wrote and directed the Crank movies and Gamer.

They did mention that Megan Fox was hot.

Absolutely. Although I think when the WB was promoting 300, I don't think they expected it to be a smash hit (especially during a relatively dead March no less). Or if they expected something profitable, it exceeded their expectations.

I do think Snyder will make Sucker Punch another R-rated film. The concept definitely sounds cool to merit a look.

I think it looks great. I wish there was more DC western cast members. I was reading the new Hex event "Six Gun War" and its got Bat Lash and El Papagayo and they brought back Tallulah Black, who originated fairly early in Hex's present title. Shes a pretty cool character.

DC has plenty of Western characters. There's Jonah Hex, Bat Lash, El Diablo, Nighthawk, Scalphunter, Strong Bow, the Trigger Twins, Pow Wow Smith, Super Chief, Madame .44, Cinnamon, Johnny Thunder.

And they all have good film/TV series potential.

The Riddler confirmed as a villain in... 'Jonah Hex'?

Recently, German-born actor Michael Fassbender broke through with a key role in Quentin Tarantino’s latest instant classic. Now, he’s looking forward to returning to screens next summer opposite another "Basterd": Jonah Hex. And while "Dark Knight" fans continue hoping The Riddler will be coming their way soon, Fassbender revealed to us that the green-leotarded one is actually coming to a different WB film.

Well, sort of...

“All the elements were in place to make it very attractive, even before I got the script,” Fassbender told us about the recently-wrapped June 2010 "Jonah Hex" flick. “I was a big fan of Josh [Brolin] before, and also John Malkovich is a big hero ever since I saw ‘Dangerous Liaisons.’ And when [director] Jimmy [Hayward] got on the phone with me I liked his energy, and I like the way he had a personal interest in each character and had each layer covered. Then, it was just a matter of me finding a real human being within the comic-book character.”

This presented a unique challenge in and of itself—considering that Fassbender had never actually picked up an issue of “Jonah Hex” before. “Don’t hate me, comic-book fans,” he winced. “But I haven’t read the ‘Jonah Hex’ comic book.”

Instead, the actor set out to seize on the human elements of his character—and found himself looking at a most-unexpected source of inspiration. “I don’t even know [if my character was in the comics]; Jimmy said that there was a character like that in there,” Fassbender explained of his baddie. “I took my inspirations from other areas. Once I put on my costume, I have a bowler hat and [added] some elements of 1970's Riddler.”

Um, excuse us? Do you mean 1966-1968 “Batman” starring Adam West? With Frank Gorshin as The Riddler?
“That’s it, Frank Gorshin,” Fassbender grinned, admitting he’s a bit new to all this comics stuff. “Jimmy just let me run with all those elements, and hopefully the character has enough dimensions in him. I know he’s a pretty sadistic character. He’s the kind of guy where this environment just suits him perfectly. It’s a wild west, and he gets to run amok.”

You think it would be wise for them to keep the advertising mainly on Fox? Because it seems like she's not a box office draw. Jennifer's Body proved this.

They should put the focus more on the action and Brolin now. Fox's only appeal is to look hot. I don't care how well known she is(she doesn't even deserve all this this popularity) but that's a pretty sad way to market a movie by using a hot girl.
