Looks good. Not too sure about the PG-13 rating though. If they go for it, I hope they release an Unrated Version on DVD. Hex is more of an "adult" oriented hero.

Go watch Raiders again.

In the first 10 minutes you see Alfred Molina impaled by punji sticks. You see people get shot in the head. You see a guy get chopped up by plane propellers. (well, you see the massive spray of blood).

Then of course there is the finale, where you see peoples skin literally falling of their bones.

If Raiders was released today, with the same level of violence, it would no way in hell get a pg13. No ****ing chance.

I mean these days you can't even have blood splats when people get shot in pg13 films. Raiders had blood splats up the wazoo.

those were some nice things to say from megan on all the others in the film. i still hope it turns out to be a decent film. Actually speaking of the indy films isnt raiders actually just pg and it was temple of doom that caused the pg 13 rating to be created?

That's right. Both Raiders of the Lost Ark and Temple of Doom were rated PG because the PG-13 rating hadn't been created yet so there was no middle-ground between PG and R. Parents thought that Temple of Doom and Gremlins should have had an R-rating, Spielberg disagreed. So Steven Spielberg invented the PG-13 rating in 1984.

“I went to Jack Valenti (the creator of the ratings system), who’s a friend of mine, and I said, ‘Jack, why don’t we do a rating called PG-13, which would suit films like “Gremlins” and “Indy 2”?”’ Spielberg said. “Jack said, ‘Leave it to me ...' In a way it’s better to get a PG-13 than a PG for certain movies,” Spielberg said. “Sometimes PG, unless it’s for an animated movie, it turns a lot of young people off. They think it’s going to be too below their radar and they tend to want to say, ’Well, PG-13 might have a little bit of hot sauce on it.”’
PG, meanwhile, runs the risk of suggesting blandness.

and you again did it. you wrotte really gory about a movie. a R movie doesnt have to be super gory to be R . Raiders of the Lost Ark was fantastic how it was. in 2008 you saw very good how they were holding back in teh action. because it was PG13.

its 100% impossible for a movie to be super violent and be PG13. even if you have an alien with green blood. if oyu have a pg13 rating then you can not have super violence.

and since she knows how the movie looks and since she knows how the rating works its obvious that she was lying.

Many PG-13 movies obviously do have some blood in them.

And I didn't say an R-rated movie has to be super gory to be R.

And Steven Spielberg wasn't holding back on the action on Kingdom of the Crystal Skull to get rated PG-13, it was simply an uninspired film. Last Crusade was also rated PG-13 and was action packed.

Megan Fox says Jonah Hex is super violent, and she's actually in the film and seen the film, unlike you. I'll take her knowledge and words about the film over yours.

Honestly, who cares what Megan Fox says one way or the other? I don't hate her but she's most likely going to be doing an E! reality show in 10 years, so who gives a damn?

If she is somehow still getting jobs in ten years I'll be shocked because I have her pegged as Tara Reid/Denise Richards 2.0.

See, I wouldn't go as far as to call her stupid because I recall her making a couple of fairly insightful comments in an Entertainment Weekly interview but she damn sure isn't smarter than the average bear because she is seemingy confused as to why some people aren't fans of hers.

She always goes back to the "every woman who hates me is jealous because I'm hot" complaint. That foolish observation shows just how "smart" she really is. Alot of women love Angie Jolie and think that she is incredibly hot. Are there jealous women? Sure there are but she isn't bashed because of her looks for the most part, people bash her because she says stupid s**t to try and sound shocking and has shown no real acting ability to back up all of the press she has been getting. It doesn't help that she shot to fame playing in some of the worst movies this decade.

And I'm pretty much off topic and this post belongs in the Megan Fox thread...I know!

That complaint just pisses me off though. I love hot women, I love watching hot women in movies. I think that Zoe Saldana, Keira Knightley and Christina Hendricks are very hot women and talented. The problem with Fox is that she's only shown that she can play a decent b**chy teenager in a spoof movie and nothing else. I actually hate women who can't admit that other women are hot and tear down other women because they are jealous.

Yeah, the trailer will be released on April 29th on TV and HBO will premiere Jonah Hex: HBO First Look -- a behind-the-scenes featurette on Tuesday, June 8 at 10:45 p.m.

Other air dates and times include Saturday, June 12 at 12:45 p.m., Friday June 18 at 12:30 a.m. and 6:45 p.m., Sunday June 20 at 11:45 a.m., and Friday June 25 at 7:45 a.m. and 8:45 p.m.

For a Hex movie i want to see people riddled with bullet holes. People getting their wigs split.

You won't get that in a pg13.

There are many, many fight scenes in which various men are graphically stabbed, speared, slashed, burned, shot with arrows, dismembered and a woman is decapitated in the PG-13 rated Clash of the Titans remake. And I'm sure we will see people getting shot, etc., in Jonah Hex. It's rated PG-13, not G-rated.

actually its all about what a director can get out of a film within the rating the film is given. i seen a bunch of pg 13 films with violent stuff and not get r rating, and then there is films with r ratings that i seen that didnt really need to be r rated.
