I tried to avoid spoilers but I just read that Hex has "supernatural powers"? WT@!
http://www.deadline.com/2010/06/fir...ex-just-weak-8-5m-karate-kid-very-strong-30m/By contrast, newcomer Warner Bros' Jonah Hex already is such a flop that it's not even meeting the studio's low opening weekend expectation of $10M from 2,825 venues after it wasn't tracking. My sources say it opened to only $1.9M Friday and $1.7M Saturday so it's hard-pressed to get to even $5M this weekend. As one Warner Bros exec said about the lesson learned; "You don't take a handsome actor and disgfigure him." The studio is so embarrassed that it took great pains to point out that the pic was greenlighted before Diane Nelson took over as DC Entertainment prez. About the cowboy with the disfigured face and legend that he can't be killed, a minor character in the DC Comics galaxy of stars, Jonah Hex was attempted on the cheap. The studio claims the final budget was $35M. UPDATE: But I hear Warner Bros cut the original budget of $80M to $40M right before production with no script changes. Then the studio did 70 pages of reshoots about 6 months ago. That may have added another $25M for a new budget of $65M. Ouch! As one insider tells me, "the studio looked at the movie a long time ago and wrote it off".

WB was already fearful of doing superheroines(spelling). I think this bombing just reinforced ANY fears WB has concerning the genre. If GL is a success, Flash will be made in the exact same tone. After that, it's Bats and Supes yet again.
^ If people remember how good the 90's Flash TV show was then there is a glimmer of hope that it's gets made, Wonder Woman only works as a weekly TV show in which it can find time for an audience.
DC never had any hopes for Jonah Hex, there was no marketing, toy line, cereal, breakfast cereal.![]()
This just shows that WB don't know how to handle comic book films with the exception of the new Batman franchise.
why would you feel sorry for her?
by watching her interviews it is clear that she doesnt want to be an actress but a movie hollywood star. a name in hollywood that gets money by going to talkshows, magazines photoshoots,.....
her focus is always on her look. she always poses and shows her tounge. nothing wrong with that. but this is what she wants to be IMO .
one of the rumors why she got fired from TF3 was also because of her new plastic surgery. the new pics are proof that its true because her face looks strange and different. i also wouldnt be suprised that she is hard to work with.
This!
Plus the fact that after Catwoman, WB execs have gone on record and said that they don't want to do female leads in superhero movies for awhile, even though Catwoman just sucked regardless of the cast.
Lesson 1: Don't open a movie about a lesser known character on the same day as the movie millions of people have been waiting for 11 years.
Now I agree that just because this movie was mishandled doesn't mean that GL will be. My main beef with GL is the casting of Ryan Reynolds whose best effort to date has been Van Wilder.
Even if Transformers isn't a huge hit (it will be) she will not be helped at all because she still has two sub 7 million openers to her name. And yes I read that she isn't in Hex that much but the studio pushed her hard in the adds and had her name on the poster.
