It's to show facial expression i would guess? kinda hard to show emotion with a helmet covering his face... even with the modified magneto helmet it doesnt get the job done.... and plus in any gladiator or knight movie when the warrior isnt in battle he doesnt wear his helmet...

He probably doesn't wear his helmet all the time for the same reason that Wolverine doesn't walk around with his claws out all the time:

The film makers like to have a dramatic, stand off-esque, moment right before a fight. In the first two movies they always focused on Wolverine unsheathing his claws before a fight, and they will probably do the same with Juggs putting on his helmet.

Yeah...Why not ask why Magneto isn't wearing his helmet in some pics?..

He wears his helmet in the movie for the same reason why Juggernaut wears his in the comics..

Also, it's still unknown whether or not Juggernaut's helmet has anything to do with protecting him from mental attacks or anything like that...

The helmet isn't what it was in the comics in the film. It looks as though its made of lead, rather than something to block out Xavier like in the comics. It would make sense that he only puts it on when he's about to **** something up, which, actually, to me, sounds better.

It's the same thing as Wolverine taking out his claws. If you see Juggernaut put his helmet on in the movie... you know something's about to hit the ground. Hard.
