The Official Juggernaut/Vinnie Jones Thread [merged - 3]

Am I right in saying that the scene where Juggs and Kitty are trying to get to Leech is at the end then? The AIC script had this mid way thru but by the look of it its near the end

Here's a screen of the whole scene. So you have a better size comparision to the other characters.

It might just be that he's slumping, but is Mystique nearly as tall as him?

Its during the final battle, probably near the end of it, so yeah your right.

No id say she will be a bit smaller and pyro will be a bit taller than he looks if they where lined up side by side. They are all standing at different distances from the camera.

You can only really judge Magneto and Juggs height as they are standing face to face

Im not as concerned over juggernauts outfit as I once was... looks like he might destroy enough stuff to not look like a Kiss conventioner heh.

i think the outfit looks good... i just dont know with his accent though. ;):p

Juggs is English and the accent fits. He seems like a righty smirky bastard aswell

oh well i cant judge him after seeing one tv spot, i really need to watch the movie, NOW! lol ;)

Vinnie interview from dreamwatch:

Tell us about your character
"Juggy is his own man. He just wants to go in to battle. He's got no issues. He just has to be in a battle. So if Magneto asks him to go into battle against the xmen hes like "I've got nothing to do today, I'll do that" When i spoke with Brett, what we decided was we'd make him a cool cat, a cool dude. And Bretts given me some great one liners which will make the audience laugh. Juggy will make you laugh, he really will. He's big and fearsome enough as he is, you know, so lets not go around like Jaws in James Bond ooh-ing and ahh-ing, lets give him some great lines. But its the biggest cast ive ever seen im my life, so i'll be lucky if I get one line in there"

How was it working with Brett Ratner?
Brilliant, yeah, really good. A lot of energy. I love bretts energy. Its the first time ive done 20, 30 takes on one thing- which im not used to - but he wans it, and until you've given him it, you aren't going anywhere. And for me, it was a bit of an insecurity for me. "What does he want? I don't think I've got what he wants" you know? But you get there and he talks to you.

What was your make up situation?

Mine was four hours a day. I've got a prosthetic suit, a prosthetic jaw. The suit was modelled on my body with plaster of paris so everything you see on the outside is me, but much bigger. Because the suit is so heavy, I had to be a bit stronger than ever before, so he looks natural.

Did you do all your own stunts?

Most of them

Any injuries?

Well I've got a bit of an old war wound from football, so sometimes when I fell wrong I'd get a bit of fluid on the knee.

So what was the biggest thing you learned doing this movie?

Most of my scenes are with Ian McKellen and these are acting lessons. If you are working with Ian McKellen everyday, you've only got to look at the fella.

Casting is set, but my vote would have been for Marcus Ruhl

Ewwww!!...Looks like he even takes steroids in his sleep

I'm beginning to wonder now, certain shots of Juggernaut look quite different. Take this one for example....

If you look at that shot and then look at the little character gif of Juggs on the official site they look quite different. The above shot is the best and most realistic shot I've seen of Juggernaut yet, the suit looks perfect. The gif on the official site doesn't look the best, Jones looks like he can't really move, hence why he's doing that wierd looking punch, the abs stick out way too much as well.

Even in this tv spot cap Juggs looks very bulky...

I dunno. I just hope they have some continuity in the movie with Juggernauts look and they go with the more realistic look instead of the plasticy and more obvious muscle suit look!

^ It's just the angle and the lighting. The big pic above was taken looking "Up at him" in brighter light. The other one is straight on in a darker room where the shadows can really work well as far as making one appear bulky.

Juggernaut's costume is fine, I'm still undecided about the helmet and muscle suit though. The helmet looks too small, and the suit looks a bit rubbery here in certain shots. I guess it's something that will look good when in motion on film.

Great interview with Vinnie, thanks for sharing. I like the idea of giving him some cool and funny oneliners. Vinnie has the right badass attitude to play Juggs.

BTW, just WTH does Juggernaut say in that TV spot when Magneto releases him from his prison? I played the spot over and over, but just can't make anything out of it! :p

"Keeps my face pretty."

I still don't get how ppl don't understand what Juggs is saying....
