I just want to see Batman single handedly defeat the Legion of Doom...

Issue 5 will come out next week. Anybody have any ideas on their own on what will happen?

Really, the only major, glaring flaw is the extremely sloppy characterization in this book. Superman taking the time to make a joke while Metropolis blows up, J'onn falling to Grodd so easily, J'onn's really lame inner monologue and Superman begging for help were just really bad.

Well, Superman was getting ganged up on by four of his most powerful enemies and getting the crap beat out of him. Why wouldn't he cry for help?

Then you'll be waiting a long time...

issue 5 was pretty good, i think the first issue was better then the others tho. shazam comes to the rescue of superman who was crying for help in issue 4. martian manhunter somehow exacpes and goes to find the other leaguers.etc. i think this book is gonan show more of second stringers of the justice league. shazam, elonganted man, etc.

#5 REVIEW:
Brainiac and Luthor, while working together, know each will betray the other. Captian Marvel saves Superman and takes him to the Batcave. Superman realizes Batman, Alfred are being controlled by worms, even himself. There's only one way to get rid of them from himself...

Issue 5: perfect art, story reaching its high levels, its a good series. I thought with Batman smart, he would make sure nothing would happen to him thats happening to the Leaguers. This is proven wrong. But it could be argued that since Superman was attacked, he could be going nuts but I doubt anyone would think that.

Speaking of Batman, his Batcave is shown. Now this may not be connected to THE WORLD'S GREATEST SUPER-HEROES or KINGDOM COME, hopwever Luthor's mention of what Superman said in SUPERMAN: PEACE ON EARTH makes me think otherwise. But it seems that they're pulling what the previous Batman movie series and what BTAS did to their batcaves, always a different one everytime. This one is simipler, smaller. No need to be bigger and spread everything throughout. I like it.

In villian alliances, no one is friends. Luthor is plotting against Brainiac and Brainiac is doing the same before anything has happened. Plus, I'm wondering what those black balls are for. Also, in what Luthor is saying when he throws those in the water, it seems what he's planning isn't just about the heroes but anyone who is alien. I think he wants Earth to just have human beings and anyone else who is alien to GET OFF!

Overall, the series gets better. More mysteries are coming out and we keep wondering: what's gonna happen next?

REVIEW: 8.5/10

It's a brilliant book. I have NO clue where this is going, nor have I been able to guess anything that has happened ahead of time.

Truly a great piece of work. IMO, Kingdom Come good.

Man this is an awesome book. Alex Ross is the only person who shows the big red cheese at his best.

issue 5 was a bit of a let down. i think the first issue was better then rest.

just felt mediocre, wasnt bad, but i think the writer couldve done better. i liked the whole shazam bit tho.

Whew. Saved yourself there. You slipped up a few posts back and said you basically liked Issue 5, and I thought to myself, "Wow! GAH likes something?" Fortunately, you took it back and reminded everybody on the forums that nothing that happens right now is as good as everything that happened before. Even if "before" means "this past summer."

There is no way Hal Jordan is getting out of his current predicament without a deus ex machina. With the Legion's plan to take down everyone else being to beat the crap out them, he definitely got the short end of the stick.

Nobody does "Justice" to Captain Marvel like Alex Ross! I loved how the Flash was saying on page 3 "I'm coming Superman." over and over; then guess who shows up.
Seeing Cap dispatch four of Superman's most powerful enemies and save his butt will go down (for me) as a great moment in comics!
It's kind of funny but, page 8 was reminescent of the final page of Kingdom Come #3 when Superman was on the ground looking up at Cap after getting slammed by him.:supes:
SHAZAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Captain Marvel throwing Superman into the sun. Am I the only one that can't wait to see how that works out?

I also liked the scene with Ralph and Sue Dibney. The Wonder Woman/Cheetah fight was overshadowed by Captain Marvel whooping on Supes' rogues.

Is it possible that Hal is in the Phantom Zone? This series is amazing! This is how to do the Justice League! I loved it when Superman socked Batman; I mean of course he had it coming. Cap is to cool, this guy needs greater prominance in the DCU. I would love to see him on the league in a greater role. Seems to me the trinity should be Superman, Batman, and Shazam. Thats just me though:joker:

He may be in the Phantom Zone, but I doubt it. The Phantom Zone is usually drawn to be a white space.
