Personally, I cannot wait to see the Blob. Not enough fat superheroes / villains. (Honestly... there aren't.) Even if he is a bit cliche, I do love how they made him look and the "save the whales" shirt... is just too awesome. Hopefully for his little boxing match with Wolvie he really screws up the little fur ball.

Dear Lord, please no. There's just absolutely no reason for it. Big fat guy + super strong + unmovable = we got it. We don't need a man eater.

No, that's a trick of perspective. Teh Blob is coming back with a haymaker right uppercut, and Logan goes up and to the Blob's left. There is no way a punch from his left makes him go to the left, unless it was a backhand, which it clearly isn't.

Well i just hope the blob has some role in this movie and is not just thrown there to make it funier(like juggernaut in x3 who was complete fall and dissapointment).If there are more action scnes with him except the boxing one i will be very happy

I liked Juggernaut in X3..

But then again, I knew exactly what his role in the movie was and didn't try to elevate his role past what his importance to the story should've been in my mind before I saw the movie.

Did you like the helmet though? It looked to me like it was made of very cheap material.

In the DVD comentaries, Brett Ratner explained the "helmet" was part of the equipment that was containing Juggernaut in the truck, and when he escaped, it continued in his head, he liked it and kept it. That made me like it more. t:

but, I still don't get rather or not, (what looks to be, Kevin Durand), in the team shot of the trailer, is suppose to be the blob (like a pre-blob, version of him, anyway) or a different character all together (just to give Kevin some screen time with out the make up stuff)
have we gotten any confirmation on this

Just thinking about that. He doesnt have any similar features. Hair is completely different colors. Any one have a close up of that team pic?

That is very possible. Could also be possible that Dominic Monaghan could be playing a different character in the Jungle scene, in addition to his other character of Beak. That said tho, there's way too many characters in this movie now!

Barnell won't be called Beak in the movie, and he won't have a beaked face, bulbous eyes and wing-like arms either.

I wonder then what's so important about "Barnell", what sets him apart from other characters that he gets to play "that" role...whatever role that might be?

Yea if you can't tell I was never a fan of Morrison's run the New X-men! hehe

I think that Kevin Durand in that group pic is the Blob. I think his powers in this movie will either be super strength, invulnerability, or he can manipulate is own gravity. I don't think he'll have all of those powers though.

After the supposedly botched Team X mission, I think Blob will choose to dramatically alter his appearance and identity so that Stryker can't find him. Wolverine will be able to track him down using his sense of smell and investigative skills, maybe clues from Gambit. Blob must have some kind of knowledge that can be used against Stryker or feared experimentation, which is why he is in hiding and Logan is searching for him.
