I don't think at this point Boreanaz would do it either. He got very pissed about how things ended. However, the season six comic will be out soon, so there might be some closure!

Yeah Boreanaz was pi**ed, which I loved because it showed how much he cared, I agree he won't do it now, he has moved on to Bones.

Why is it that Cartoons nail it? Can't they just do it the same way in the movie?

I get my space on tv filler from Battlestar Galactica, that is so f*****g good, I can't wait to see what happens in the final season.

Hmmm, the Star Trek movie, so far I like what I have been reading, I agree with Quinto as Spock, Pine as Kirk I will give a shot to, Bana as Nero is great as well, but I love Karl Urban as Bones, he is awesome, my only question mark right now is Cho as Sulu.

Boreanaz is the man, I hope for nothing but good things for him, although he is already 35! Like I said, I'd cast him as Superman in a heartbeat, but he is too old!

I don't know why it is that cartoons always nail it. They don't have to go through all the big studio bullsh^t and they get to be free to be creative.

I need to get into Battlestar Galactica. It's on my list of shows to watch soon! Ronald D. Moore writes for the show so I'm sure I'll like it!

Quinto is excellent as Spock, I LOVE Urban as Bones, but Pine I'm sold on. I hope to be proven wrong. Cho, I see where your coming from. Bana is a great actor, another one that I'd use as Superman but that ship has sailed. I'm excited for the film, but I'm never keen on remakes because most of them suck. I wish they would just move the story into the 25th century on T.V. so we can see what happens after the Dominion War and Nemisis. We were really left hanging ya know. DS9 is my favorite Trek, btw!

Oh man, if you can, get into BSG, you will not be sorry, the season 1 and 2 finishes are totally amazing and you will be left with your mouth hanging wide open, it is truly one of the best tv shows on right now IMO.

The new Trek movie I am looking forward to, I like all the casting choices, Urban rocks baby! Cho is the only one, not because of him because he is a good actor, it is just that I do not know how they are going to write him. JJ as the director is a great choice, he is a fan and won't screw it up, it looks good.

2 best Trek movie IMO, Wrath of Kahn, First Contact.

Have you checked out the I Am Legend teaser and trailers? That movie looks good, I hope the dog is ok, I have two of them.

So, back to Lex...

I think he should definately be athletic, but Superman should be noticeably bigger than him.

Battlestar is my next show as soon as I'm finished with Six Feet Under. I have one more season and then I'm watching BSG.

Urban and Quinto both rock. I'm like you, I wonder how Cho will be used, if Sulu is going to become the comedian of the bunch. At the same time this movie is being made, I wish a tv show was in production. I know Enterprise failed but it was getting good at the end. I think a show set at the dawn of the 25th century would work very well.

The two best movies, are, without a doubt, Wrath of Khan and First Contact, and then after that the Voyage Home and The Undiscovered Country. Search for Spock was good, and I don't have the beef with Inssurection that some do. The Motion Picture was visually stunning but boring and a bad shallow attempt at character development, and Final Frontier was awful except for the scene's with Kirk, Spock, and Bones. Generations was possibly the most underwhelming movie I've ever seen, and Nemisis was well, disappointing!

I am Legend is going to be bad ass, and I love German Shephards!

That is my big thing is if Sulu will be used for comedy relief, I don't think he should be used that way, just play it serious and go for it! I could see a show at the dawn of the 25th century, that would work well IMO, they would just have to get the tone of the show correct, but I don't think that after Enterprise we will see one for a long time.

I agree with the order of your movies, Kahn and Contact rock!

I have always had German Shephards, the two I have now are 2 years old, all ears :woot: , they never leave my side.

I Am Legend is going to be great!

I agree, Superman should be much bigger, Lex should be thin and businessman like.

Well, I don't think he should be thin, persay, but he should have some muscle. A person like Lex would want to strive for perfection both mentally and physically.

Oh sorry, I meant thin compared to Superman, his build would be a athletic lean look, a example would be 6ft tall 180lbs, in good shape but nothing compared to Superman.

I agree, don't use Sulu as comic relief, play it serious. If you MUST have a comedic character........use Chekov:cwink:

We probably won't see a show for awhile after Enterprise, which is sad because Enterprise started getting it right the last season, although there finale was horrid and reminded everyone why the show was being canned. The tone would need to be different than TNG or VOY for a 25th century show to work. Closer to DS9. You almost who have to dif deeper into some of the issue's explored in DS9, the morality of the Federation, Section 31, Humanities dark side starting to reappear and rear it's ugly head due to the threats of the Dominion and Borg, religion vs. science, etc etc. The last we saw of it in it's hole, the Federation is nearing a crossroads. I have some idea's in mind for a new show that would play up alot of these issues. The biggest disappointment in the Trek umbrella is deff. Voyager. That show could have been so much more and so much better.

I love German Shephards. My grandparents have always had them as well. In my household, we always had Rottweilers, the one I got now is a runt but I love her. She is five right now!

Superman should look like a strong farmboy, Lex should look like an athlete.

I think that they will have some funny lines and moments in the new Trek film, I just don't want them to take away from the film or make is campy, play it serious. I agree, we won't see another Trek show for a long time, Enterprise started to get good in the final season but as you said the final show was just awful!

I love animals, they are my one weakness as "The Dark Knight", my brother has two Rottweilers, they are just big sucks. Your dog may be a runt but she owns you :woot: 5 years old, how big is she?

I think there will be alot of self aware, inside humor in the film, and like you said, I'm all for it, but I don't want it to take away from the final film. I truly do believe that Trek is made for the small screen. It seems like, with Trek movies, they either knock it out of the ball park or it's a disappointment. I was SO impressed with the final season of Enterprise, compared to what had come before in the series, and then I was disgusted at the final episode.

Animals are my only weakness as well. I volunteered at the Animal shelter from middle school all the way through my last summer before college. Loved every minute of it.

Shadow, my rottweiler, was 98lbs the last time I had her weighed. She is a big baby, but she does own me. I take her for walks, and she ends up walking me somehow:cwink: . I won't even think about taking her on one of my runs lol!!!

Cartoons always nail it...:yay:

I'd love to see a Serenity sequel, or perhaps FireFly back on television on the Sci-Fi network or something. I require this to fulfill my space adventure needs. I'm not sold on Abrams Star Trek remake, he got my hopes up with the casting of Zachary Quinto as Spock and then tore them down with Chris Pine as Kirk!

Universal are thinking about at the moment after bringing out the Collector's Editon which was in response to the incredibly and continuously even now strong sales of the Serenity DVD and especially after the strong sales of the Collector's Edtion and Alan Tudyk (Wash in Firefly & Serenity) hinting at the possibility at a sequel and notice how Joss Whedon has gone quiet all of a sudden and hasn't responded to the rumours.

I agree, the Trek movies are either great or they stink, they really don't seem to fall in between, I don't think that a tv show is even in the thoughts of the people at Paramount right now (Trust me, you will love BSG), they are putting up something like $150 million into the movie :wow: so I think that all their eggs are in the movie basket, a LOT is riding on this movie.

That is cool that you volunteered at a Animal Shelter, that would be a amazing experience.

My dogs are my masters, no question in my mind, I know who is the boss and it is them, they are brothers, I went to buy a dog and found these two, I couldn't seperate them so I came home with 2, they walk me LOL, they sleep on my bed, they are the two biggest babies I have ever seen, when I workout - I have a gym in my house - they are right in the room with me, I guess you could say they spot me LOL.

Actually, the TV rights to Star Trek are owned by CBS. I don't know how that happened, but it did. Paramount owns the right to make big screen pictures and CBS owns the right to make a tv series. Paramount is putting alot of faith behind this new Trek film, I hope it succeeds.

The Animal Shelter was amazing, even though I wanted to take every one home with me. It was one of the few times I can honestly say I enjoyed what I was doing.

I regret not getting another dog as a friend for mine. I just waited to long. My dog also sleeps with me, she has since the day she came home.

I didn't know CBS has the tv rights, that is strange, I am glad that Paramount has the film rights, they do a good job with films, they were the big reason Transformers was made and they put up $150 for that, so $150 for Trek they must think the script is pretty good.

That is the only reason I wouldn't work in a Shelter, I would want to save and take every single one of them home with me, but it would be a great job.

It has worked out great for me picking up my two dogs, they have someone around when I am at work and again they were brothers so I couldn't seperate them, they worked together to make sure I took them both with their big brown eyes, they still do it LOL.

Before I give my opinion, let me say that I only know Superman through the movies and some of the cartoons. I've never read any of the comics so if I say anything blasphemous forgive me.

I definitely do not think Lex should be muscular. He's a criminal and a businessman, but just a regular guy. No matter how muscly he got he'd never be a match for Superman, so why bother?

CBS tried to put together a cartoon a few years ago, but it fell through for reasons unknown. I've never had a beef with Paramount, they do try, as they did with Transformers. It just seems like everything they have is hit or miss, just like Star Trek. But they do try.

The shelter was very rewarding. I spent time with every single one of those animals, both dogs AND cats. The kittens did get adopted quicker, which always made me feel bad for the puppies.

I feel bad when I'm out of the house and my dog has no one to play with. I could have, and should have, grabbed her brother when I had the chance but they told me a family with kids was coming back to look at him and I wasn't to keen on getting two dogs at the time so I used that as an excuse to just take Shadow. When my senses came to me, I found out the family adopted her brother so atleast he has a good home, I assume!

Venom buddy what's up? Sunday, day off, junk food, football, awesome!

I am hoping that Paramount hit's another jackpot with the new Trek film, the cast looks great so at least they have that part down, I am not going to read any script reviews or any spoiler stuff so I can go into the film and enjoy it, I have high hopes for December 2009.

That is kind of shocking that the kittens would go before the puppies, I thought that it would be the other way around, I have a cat to go along with my two dogs, he was a stray that someone had just dumped off and left in the wild, bastards! He started to come around the house to play with the dogs, then he was all over me wanting to be loved and come in, I couldn't leave him so again I got sucked in and now he is part of my animal family, he also sleeps on the bed, it is quite a picture. Your dog sounds awesome, I am sure her brother is in good hands with that family.

What is the deal with no Superman news? Don't they think that with the sudden push for the crappy sounding JL movie that they should give a "go" or "no" for MOS?

I have had a damn good week of workouts, tomorrow is lower body and a run so I'm hoping it's a good cap to my week. I'm thinking Im gonna make some coney dogs this Sunday. I've been craving it, with lots of cheddar cheese.

I think this Star Trek will do well, it will atleast make it's budget back and then a nice chunk of change. I do question putting $150 million into it when Serenity was made for $39 million and looked great based on the budget. I would think $75-100 million would do just fine since there will be alot of green screen work. I probably read spoilers because I'm a spoiler ****e :yay:

I think alot of folks believe cats are easier to take care of than dogs, and thats why they get adopted quicker. I hate bastards that dump off there cats, and dogs, and just leave. That has always bothered me since I was a kid. I'm convinced those people do not have souls. They can't, they just can't. Thats a cool story about your cat, thats awesome the dogs accepted him, thats what you always have to worry about when bringing new animals into the house. I also have a cat, but I Oatmeal before Shadow, so he was the dominant one and accepted shadow over time lol. He is 7 now, and I to have an animal family in my bed at night. Honestly, I wouldn't feel right if they weren't there. Shadow sleeps beside me while Oatmeal sleeps at the bottom of the bed.

With Superman, I've learned that no news is good news lol. I just want this JL thing to die a very quick and painful death, and then we can just talk about the next Superman film!

My workout week is over, just finished and that is it until Monday :woot: Tomorrow is going to be Pizza, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, and of course to finish it all off Cheese Cake!

I agree, $150 on a Trek movie is a HUGE gamble, I thought like you that $75 to $100 would be the budget, but I am hoping that with it being that big we will get some great battle's in space, I don't know what else they could be spending the $$$ on. Yeah I have to say that Serenity looked great, I couldn't believe that it only cost $39 to make, it almost made that back at the BO, but with the great sales of the 1st DVD and now the 2 Dics set Universal should be swimming in $$$ and green light a follow up.

My cat and dogs get along very well, which is good for the cat since they are much, much bigger than he is LOL. I was lucky, the cat just happend to come around when my dogs were still puppies, they all played together and got a long very well so I don't think they know the difference, that is one of the many reasons animals are better than humans.

I hate to say it but I don't think that this JL film is going to go away any time soon, I think that it is going to be the next superhero film that WB does and my biggest fear is that it will pi** off Nolan/Bale and they walk on the third Batman film, not to mention the simple fact that with no word from Singer or Routh or anybody about MOS, it looks like we won't be talking about a new Superman film for a long, long time.

Only one hundred and fifty dollars? :wow: Doesn't sound like much. ;) :D
