The Official LittleBigPlanet Thread

I was reading the new PS3 magazine over here in the UK, and they say that they will have an exclusive LBP "present" to give away next issue, next to a picture of Nariko Sack-Girl. I'm thinking that in the UK, there might be a code with the magazine, rather than with a retailer.
Play.com has the Nariko voucher for the UK

Well I sure hope my issue comes this morning then. I've had issues a few das later than everyone else and I've had one issue not come at all, hope its not one of those cases again.

Thats bc the US retailer for Nariko hasnt been revealed yet. Im surprised Gamestop gave out the voucher already. I thought they would have waited till the game was released. Depending on where the Nariko one is, I plan on cancelling my GS preorder since I already have the Kratos code.

Ahhh yes that bundle does look great. Sony should have released that over here instead of the Uncharted one, or better yet sell both. So far the PS3 really has a hardcore image attached to it and that would definetly appeal to the casual gamers. I can see parents looking at that bundle and getting it for their kids

YEAH IT'LL MAKE AN AWESOME FAMILY PACK!!!:D:up: SOMETHING JUST OCCURRED TO ME, MAYBE THEY'LL STICK NARIKO IN THE NEXT ISSUE OF QORE, SINCE THAT'S EXCLUSIVE TO THE U.S., IN WHICH CASE IT WOULD MAKE THINGS VERY EASY FOR ME SINCE I HAVE THE 1 YEAR SUBSCRIPTION!!!;):D:up:

I cant believe how much Im anticipating this game and cant wait to play it considering a few months ago, I didnt get it and didnt find it appealing. Im really not too excited with the games coming out this fall, but this one definetly has me interested

There's going to be official Disney themed LBP downloadable content

yeah I read that. I wonder if its for pay. Most likely. It'll be interesting to see what it will be, like if it will just be skins to add to your Sackboys or items to add to your levels or if Disney will have them actually create Disney inspired levels for download. Either way, its good seeing an outside source officially supporting the game. This type of stuff gives LBP more potential to be huge and have more of a mass appeal.

I'm hoping that Kojima Productions announces support for LBP.

I think LBP just gives bad first impressions. Personally I love things like RPG Maker where they give you the tools to let you use your own creativity to make your own levels/game. On youtube however I notice a lot of comments the LBP videos about, "Looks boring", "not enough explosions and blood", and "what's the point?".

I think when you first see the game it looks like an avg platformer. Then slowly you come to the realization that their not showing off cutscenes, but actual gameplay. That you could recreate every SMB level, or make a lvl where you have to stop a huge monster by hitting switches to drop boulders on him. Then toss in co-op and online level trading, and you start to realize how much potential this game has.

OH LUCKY BASTARD LOL,:oldrazz::D LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!!:D:up:

I got it, I downloaded it, I installed and now I played it. More playing tomorrow for me! YAY! This is great!

I could have gotten in on it, but I passed. I figured I'd rather wait to have the full thing to experience for as long as I like.

well i've been messing around and did some levels that unlock create mode. and then there are loads of create mode tutorials to get through. i still can't work out how to create some of the things i want to. that side of the game does take some getting used to obviously since there are so many possibilities. it's like learning a new paint program or something. i think i'll go back to playing some more levels. i do find the jumping a bit floaty myself. puzzles are nice tho. at the moment it seems to be more about exploring and puzzles than jumping challenges. but it's early in the game so far.

Well I'm not much hyped for LittleBigPlanet but my lil' brother is. It took me an hour to get the beta key from all that traffic for him, but he's finally happy he got to play it. Doesn't looks much appealing except the fact that they are cute little beings, I just enjoyed making 'em dance. The only thing I didn't like was the way they slide slightly when they stop moving, it became irritating when I kept falling during jumps. But I can see that this game will be a winner since many do seem to like it.

there's some really good levels people have made already and that's with not having all the stuff to work with that you get in the final game. then there are alot of levels that aren't so good and some that are good but not in multiplayer. also no one plays my levels :( took me ages to make those pillars. i can see how people would think the level was impossible tho.
