Erica Durance is gorgeous but I have no desire to see her as a big screen Lois Lane.

I'd put money that they are going to choose some very young CW actress or an actress who could be on a CW show.

Batman Begins--Katie Holmes-WB connection: Dawson's Creek.

Green Lantern--Blake Lively-WB/CW connection: Gossip Girl and The Town

Before Bosworth was choosen they were looking at Keri Russell for the role and she was on WB's Felicity. Bosworth still fits the mold of really young looking cute girl who had buzz on her at the time. I hope that they don't go that route this time but if they do pick a young actress who from there network who can actually play the role well. I'm hoping for a movie actress with limited ties in Warner Brothers to be honest. More Maggie Gyllenhaal and less Blake Lively.

In that case, IMO, Sophia Bush has to be the way to go. She is the best of the CW bunch, where casting Lois is concerned.

I think Kate Keckinsale would be a great Lois, although I'd love to see her as Wonder Woman too!!

You know, there are so many great choices for Lois, it's hard to believe that Singer went with such a lousy one. My guess is that he was trying to appease Spacey (that's not breaking any new ground I'm sure) but it's just inexcusable. Just further proof that Singer wasn't as "passionate" about the character as he claimed to be.

Hopefully they dont rush the casting of Lois like Singer did with SR going with Bosworth, it seemed as if they were short on time and simply went with a actors choice, and that was a mistake because Bosworth was simply atrocious .

Honestly, I don't find the problem with actors cast suggesting actors they've worked with in the past, I mean if we didn't allow that, Sissy Spacek never would have starred as Carrie White and had as great a career as she does now; but I expect the Director to make the decision that works best for him and the movie itself, and not to be too biased, but I highly doubt Bosworth was so amazing at an audition or a reading that no other actresses could compare.

Isn't there actual footage on the DVD of him watching her audition tape and going, "Kevin says she's good... yeah, Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane!" or something?

I think Bryan Singer was so convinced that he was making a masterpiece that he thought he could cast anyone and it would still be adored by audiences worldwide. He cast an actor as Superman who (at best) did a so-so Reeve impression. He cast an actress as Lois Lane who was bland and completely unlikeable. He cast Lex Luthor fairly well but the script was so bad that he came off campy and stupid.

I really wish he had never gone near the project. He didn't know what he was taking on and he is proof that even though you might be a good director, that doesn't mean that you are the RIGHT director for a particular project.

After watching The Town, I think Rebecca Hall deserves at least a shot.

Unless rebecca hall has had major dental work done, why even consider her?

My #1 choice at the moment is definately Ashley Greene:

That's Lois!

^ i know someone suggests a really good actress in Rebbecca Hall who resembles Lois

but people shoot it down but suggest Twilight's own Ashley Green and Odette Yustman who is best known for The Unborn

:lmao:

glad you people are shooting for the stars with trying to get someone better than Bosworth LOL
